Hotel is nice

Comfortable and easy to book

I booked late on the night that I was looking to stay, and Peter at the desk was fantastic. The deal through Expedia saved me about $30 on the rate.. The music was really loud in the lobby on a Friday night,but it was quiet in the room.The hallways feel a bit sketchy but the room was just fine. Leaving my bags for a couple hours the next morning worked really well, and all the staff were very kind. Professional and comfortable hotel.

location was convenient, easy to access.

Pros: The location was my main reason for staying. The room was a nice size with a separate lounge area which was great!
Location: close to shops, restaurants and transit
hotel staff were helpful and courteous. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable

exllent hotel!

The room was very cosy and clean. The staff went to the extra mile. There were enogh amenities, especially the soap was very nice!

Nice hotel, affordable price

Nice hotel, friendly staff but slow service in their restaurant. I never saw in Vancouver, such a slow service, probably understaffed kitchen.

Expedia and Executive Plaza Hotel - worthless

Location: We found a great room at Best Western Plus.
In July I made 5 hotel reservations with Expedia for a car trip we were taking from San Diego to Vancouver and back. Expedia puts a default date when doing a search and in 4 of the bookings I caught it and booked for the proper date. With Executive Plaza, I had clicked the continue button before noticing that it had set me up for Sept. 17 instead of Sept. 5th. I used the back button to make the change and was thought that I had fixed the date. We arrived at the hotel on Sept. 5 with our confirmation number and were told our reservation was for Sept. 17th and they had no available rooms. We would have settled or anything. We ended up at Best Western Plus and took their remaining room at twice the price we had already paid for Executive Plaza. I notified Expedia the next day (Sept. 6) of the problem, thinking they would have some clout to get us a refund for what we paid Executive Plaza, but they said the hotel would not give us a refund. The mistake is at least partially Expedia's fault for an online booking system that can easily result in a date error. All they could offer was to say we could still stay at Executive Plaza on Sept. 17th. The fact that we were in San Diego on that date meant nothing. I will never use Expedia again and I certainly have nothing good to say about Executive Plaza. They had 12 days to book that room with someone else. Policies should be flexible for human error.

Nice people

Pros: It was comfortable, the food was good.
Cons: A bit worn in places but i expect that is from heavy volume of people.
Location: It was a bit hard to find the hotel driveway in the dark. Pub on site was fun.
I thought it was noisy until i realized the window was open. Quiet after that, oops :) Peter was a very happy face to see after a rather sad day we had. Thank you for that

Poor maintenance, casual attitude among staff

Pros: Food in the restaurant was tasty. Staff was friendly and efficient.
Cons: Repair broken items and improve customer service attitude.
We supposedly stayed in the "penthouse" suite. It has a view of the discount grocery store parking lot. We could not get the pay-per-view movies to work. They sent up a staff member who said, "Oh, yeah. That's not working." The closet door was completely off it's hinges and free-standing. We also reported that to the staff member and the front desk. Both replied, "We'll look into it." The bed was too soft. Probably time for a replacement.
