This place is Dangerous!

Posted Aug 18, 2017
Pros: NOTHING!
Cons: EVERYTHING!
Location: NOTHING! DESOLATE!
I opted NOT to stay at this so-called resort/hotel accommodation because as a female solo traveler, my safety and health or general welfare is the utmost priority! This is a dangerously isolated and desolate area of the Fijian islands - only fit for rugged travelers and groups of more than one for safety. The property was not described properly. The remote area along the beach with four cottage units had inadequate security features overall. There was no place to purchase food except for the house occupied by the family who owns the resort, which is beneath any government standards of cleanliness or health barometers. In addition, there is no cell phone connection access in case of emergency. My taxi driver, who drove me to the location, warned me emphatically about the situation, including the lack of a decent road to access the property; a very long and winding, all dirt and gravel HAZARDOUS road with large rocks for at least a mile and a half, for which he refused to return per my pickup request and advised that NO other taxi would either. However, I insisted on inspecting it for myself since I'd already booked through Expedia, a reputable internet travel booking company. Bad mistake! THANK GOD for my taxi driver. Fortunately, I was able to book another resort at the last minute for a pleasant and safe alternative stay. And, now Expedia has the audacity to refuse to refund my payment due to cancellation guidelines per the resort? What a rip off!!!

live like a Fijian

Posted Jan 10, 2017 on Lastminute
Pros: no television, no internet, no traffic, no jet-skis.....
Location: on a coral lagoon with wild horses, farm animals and ecologically minded guests
if you want to get away from the west and experience life as a Fijian, this place is bliss. Tranquil, rural, and without the annoyances of a commercial resort , the family who run this retreat are lovely and the scenery is divine.

very basic

No facilities in room, not even electricity. No fridge or kettle, not even ice available from "restaurant ". Very basic room. Shower was dirty and mouldy. This hotel should advertise that 4wd is necessary to reach it. Terrible terrible rock road with no signage other than on highway.

Private and lovely beach

Posted Oct 28, 2016
Pros: Lovely staff and setting. Nice beach out front and good to walk along. Very quiet.
Cons: No menu with prices for lunch or dinner. We felt the meals were well cooked but overpriced so ask the prices before you eat,
Location: Snorking, horse riding, and free cave tour

The view and peacefulness was awesome.

Location: Great walking on the beach around the hotel. We also took a Taxi, VINOD's. Great guy and works hard for your money.
The Bure's are comfortable and the view from the porch is incredible. Raj works hard at making the guest the priority. The food was outstanding and they had a great selection of Beers and cocktails.

Although slightly off the beaten track, the short drive on the unsealed road is worth it! Lovely hosts, very tidy rooms and practically a private beach and lagoon! Great place to come and get some peace and quiet

Best place to stay in the Coral Coast

Posted Jun 22, 2016
Amazing place to stay. The rooms are right on the beach with amazing views. There isnt that many rooms so its very quiet, peacful and relaxing. Its very homely with great staff who genuinely want to make your stay be the best it can be. It doesnt have that resort chain feeling and you dont feel like your just another number. Everyone remembers your name. Its very homely they make you feel part of the family. Its definetly off the beaten track being 6 kms off the main highway but this just means you have guaranteed privacy. Food is fantastic and service great
