Ok hotel - Nothing fancy but price is fair

Cons: The hotel could use a little updating
We took our daughter to orientation at Iowa. We only needed a room for the night so this was fine. Nothing fancy by any means but the room was fine. Nice size pool and the breakfast was good. The employees were very friendly. Location was great too. Close to the interstate, lots of restaurants and shopping.

Show up early or loose your room.

Pros: They did what they could to make things right, It was a quiet place to stay. They tried to make things right, and some of it was not their fault.
Cons: It needs to be have some new carpet put in, some new tile in bathrooms, new sheets to get rid of stains to help with the looks of cleanliness.
Location: The Coralville mall, Williamsburg Outlet mall, Texas Roadhouse and other food establishments, Amana Colonies, University of Iowa,
We showed up at 9:00 p.m. I found out from the check in clerk that Expedia had made a mistake. I was told by the desk clerk that when expedia books a room they do not specify the room, and that is why we could not get into the room we booked. I am sure the look on my face was priceless, I said really I have it here on my phone. She quickly did what she could to make it right, and she did a good job of getting us the last king size bed left. I told her please next time do not lie to me, she informed me that it was not her fault, she just came to work and the other clerk must have given our room away. I told her that things happen, thanks for taking care of us, but do not lie next time, just be truthful. The room was fine, we just needed a place to sleep, it smelled funny when we arrived. It was ok clean, but I think it just needs some new carpet to help out. I think it was a weekend of patients, because when we woke up the electricity was out, so continental breakfast was big time cold, and not juice. There were places close buy to get warm food. Showering in the dark is my specialty, so it was time to go after that.

The lamp and clock were unplugged so we had to crawl in the floor. No soap to wash your hands. Towel had a big stain. Breakfast of eggs and sausage was cold. Would not stay again.

Overnight trip

Pros: Location and price.
Location: Access to coral ridge mall and U of I.
We had a nice stay. Comfortable room. Breakfast was good with biscuits and gravy and hard boiled eggs. Good coffee too. The mattress was comfortable. The king room had a nice upholstered chair for reading or TV viewing.

Lighting is poor in the sink area and the shower had poor water pressure. Looking out the window, I was compelled to see how the windows were secured since I was on the ground floor. They weren't. I shut the windows all the way and secured them with the window locks. I would recommend the hotel provide better protection / more secure windows for the ground floor occupants. Other than that, my stay was pleasant. Was not bothered by loud guests at all.

Good Area outside of the main congested "strip" .

Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and tidy. Very quiet room with no noise from other guests.
Cons: If we were given the room on the first floor as requested, we would have been satisfied with the booking.
Location: Near to the Coral Ridge Mall, Amana Colonies and all the attractions advertised by both Iowa City and Coralville.
Nice average Motel with slightly above average amenities. We chose this motel as it was in a non-congested area of Coralville while still being close to our relatives we were visiting. We booked through Expedia and I personally called and talked to a representative concerning a special need that I had. I wanted to have a first floor room as I am handicapped and did not want to deal with maneuvering rooms on upper floors. I was assured by the representative that I would have a first floor room. When we checked in, the motel rep was totally unaware of this requirement. In fact, our room was on the top floor and at the very end of the hallway! Needless to say I was not happy. I do not blame the motel, but I certainly am dissatisfied with the Expedia rep for promising something he could not provide. I believe that their corporate policy should be reviewed surrounding false statements made to potential customers.

Ok hotel for 1 night as the price was right.

The stay was overall good! Breakfast was good, but had a small area to eat at. Not much room to get your food. I could hear doors opening and closing a few time in the middle of the night. But I'm a light sleeper.
