Staff was very nice & helpful. Hotel was formed from a 350 year old Moorish home, and actually quite picturesque and interesting. Our problem was the room itself. Bed was very comfortable, but lighting in this room was REALLY bad.... just dim lamps on nightstands. It appeared they had taken a fairly large room and used part of it to create a fairly spacious bathroom, leaving a tiny sleeping area. We had two suitcases & a carryon, & cramped is not an exaggeration.
The bath had modern fixtures with extra large shower, toilet, bidet & lavatory. Problem with bath was no place to set toiletries, and though bath overall was well lit, it was badly planned leaving head backlit when looking into mirror. Men might now mind, but seeing to apply makeup was impossible. (Had to go out into courtyard area to apply eyeliner, lipstick, etc.) Price was very reasonable, location wonderful, but..... Tried to switch to larger room, they were willing but wouldn't have one available until 2nd night of our 2 night stay so we elected to grin & bear it..
