Well placed to travel aroundPosted Oct 11, 2017
Pros: Pool and pool terrace
Cons: Room fittings and soundproofing
Location: Easy 10 min drive to Corfu town and on the main routes for accessing Northern Corfu. Had a great holiday
Fantastic pool area, great staff. Rooms spotless but dated and beds not the most comfortable. Food average, although quality of the snack menu was good and better than the buffet evening meal. Good price for a cheap holiday stay if you want an easy location to get to know Corfu from.

Good family run hotelPosted Oct 7, 2017
Pros: Setting, staff and quiet atmosphere.
Cons: Room furniture and beds.
Location: Near to Gouvia Bay, with its history, tavernas, shops and marina. 8 kilometres from Corfu town. Handy for buses to other places of interest on Corfu.
Lovely location, excellent and friendly staff, good food, reasonable facilities--this hotel is modest, but quiet and intimate. It's not 4 star and the room comforts are a little basic, but perfectly adequate. Rooms are cleaned daily and management are very helpful. Not near beach, but close to shops, facilities and bus stops. Beautiful views of sea and mountains from rooms and terrace. Highly recommended! We enjoyed our stay.

Quiet, peaceful stay in excellent locationPosted Sep 23, 2017
Pros: Peaceful and quiet, stunning views from the pool area overlooking Gouvia and surrounding areas.
Cons: Hotel could do with some modernisation, especially in the dated rooms. Also, WiFi could be stronger in the rooms as it was around the pool area.
Location: Good links nearby to the public bus network. Bars and restaurants in Gouvia were only a 10 min walk away. Lots of choice to suit all tastes.
Stayed here for 7 nights in Sep 17. Pleasant hotel with stunning views overlooking Gouvia coastline. Rooms were cleaned daily; however, beds were not the most comfortable. No fridge or tea making facilities either. Breakfast buffet was a choice of hot or cold food. The hotel was located up a rather steep incline and is not ideal for the less young among us. The bonus of this though was the peace and quiet away from the main road through Gouvia. The pool and bar area was great, however, I didn’t like the sun loungers as they were fixed in such a position you couldn’t sit upright. The hotel felt a bit outdated, especially in the rooms, but I understand a major refurbishment is due during this winter. This didn’t detract from the nice welcoming feeling this hotel had and I would definitely consider visiting again. If you do go, there is a lovely little donkey in a field over the back of the hotel. He loved getting a daily apple from us so please keep him happy by doing so too!!

Almost Paradise Hotel GouviaPosted Jun 27, 2017
Pros: It is a happy sort of place.
Cons: Hotel bar prices are slightly high.
A lovely hotel close to the tavernas shops, bars and beach. The grounds, pool and views are lovely. The hotel sits a little way up a hill but we didn't find this a problem. The staff are so helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. We were on B&B. Breakfast was varied, hot and cold dishes aplenty We always ate on the terrace with views of Gouvia bay. All the rooms are the same size, ours had three beds and a sea view. The hotel isn't modern but it has an elegant feel to it and is spotlessly clean. I honestly wouldn't hesitate to go back! We were pleasantly surprised by Gouvia, it has just enough good quality tavernas and shops, and only a couple of British style bars. We found the food to be authentic, good quality and good value. Once again the friendliness shone through! Gouvia is a quick and easy bus ride from Corfu Town, a place that I could easily have stayed all week such is its beauty and buzz.

Nice hotel with great staff.Posted May 21, 2017 on Hotels
Very nice hotel in quite location 5 miles north of Corfu town. Good breakfast (coffee needs upgrading) included free with room. Recommend having a vehicle to explore island but bus system is adequate if don't mine walking up hill to hotel. Not much to do in area around hotel.

Very relaxing and welcoming hotelPosted Oct 2, 2016 on Hotels
Very helpful staff, great varied breakfast & pool with great views over Corfu. Hotel is nice and quiet being away from the main streets of Gouvia but only a short walk away. Number 7 bus takes you into Corfu town which is great at nighttime for meals and drinks. Can rent vehicles in Gouvia and travel around the island
