We absolutely loved our stay. The staff were wonderful, the hotel and our room was beautiful and the location... Just wow! The only negative was that the wifi connection was very weak in our room, which was a little inconvenient as my partner needed access for work. Otherwise, a truely comfortable stay and if highly recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone wishing to visit Paleokastritsa.

Average hotel in Paleokastritsa

We arrived in Paleokastritsa to a nice welcome from the staff at Akrotiri hotel. First lets get the negatives out of the way. For a 4 star hotel the water pressure in the bathroom was nonexistent the tap hardly worked and the shower wasn't much better. The mini bar fridge could hardly fit in 2 water bottles. The breakfast was enjoyable with a stunning view. There are beautiful beaches around Paleokastritsa but if you really want to take full advantage of the beaches you need to hire a car. We hired a car and were able to travel around the whole island visiting some stunning location. Next time I'd look to stay somewhere else.

This is our second stay at Akrotiri Beach Hotel. Manager Helen greeted us upon arrival and upgraded our room! Georgia at the pool bar served us everyday at lunch. She was always happy to see us and provided us with excellent service. The hotel is situated on a peninsula with spectacular views from every room. We can't wait to come back!

Friendly staff, good breakfast, welcome air conn in the rooms! Lovely location, bars and restaurants within walking distance (although some hilly, rocky steps to manage) Hired a speed boat one day - good fun and allowed us to see the other bays nearby. Warm clear sea and mostly v calm. Cons: No tea or coffee facilities in room Bathroom needs updating - weedy hairdryer! Not enough pool loungers and beach gets v busy.

Nice hotel, excellent service. Good selection at breakfast buffet. Two excellent beaches are easily accessible. Very good snorkeling (though water temperature in Paleokastritsa in June was cold).

Relaxing holiday in Paradise!

Pros: Outdoor space. The terrace overlooking Akron Beach area is gorgeous. The pool view is amazing!
Cons: The food was really bad and poor quality. Breakfast was rather bland and we tried desserts from their dinner menu and they were frozen!!
Location: Paleokastritsa is fantastic. The old town and monastery are charming, there are many great restaruants and bars all within walking distance.
My spouse and I spent a 4 day weekend in Corfu and lodged at Aktrotiri Beach Hotel. The location of the hotel is idyllic, is on a small cliff surrounding the water so all rooms have a gorgeous ocean view. You awake with gentle sound of sea lapping the cliff walls and birds humming happily outside your balcony. The hotel staff are friendly and gracious and always willing to help. Check out Violeta's shop in the lower floor for any forgotten holiday items like beach towels, bags, bathing suits, flip-flops or any of a number of charming trinkets. The building itself is quite antiquated and could use a remodeling or touch up, the nicest areas are outside seating on the large terrace attached to the bar and the pool area. Paleokastritsa us hands down the best area of the island. It is tranquil and peaceful and mostly visited by septuagenerians which provides for a very relaxing environment. We took a drive on our last day to other parts of the island including Corfu town and north around Dassias, Roda and Sidari which were all significantly more tacky and tourist infested. Overally it was a lovely holiday.

Cute and sweet hotel, perched right on the sea

Pros: Outstanding staff and service, quiet location on sea with great swimming in both sea and large pool. Great prices and excellent value.
Cons: Although the hotel is certainly in good condition, I did find some of the common areas as well as the bathroom in my room a bit "dated" and "used."
Location: The village of Paleokastritsa is quite small, perfect for a quiet holiday of swimming and reading, water sports and snorkeling. Corfu Town 20 minutes.
The purpose of my visit was a solo week+ for swimming and quiet time, this hotel was perfect for that. I spent my days with early morning pool and / or sea swim, long days reading, and eating delicious fresh meals, mostly seafood, at one of the few local tavernas within walking distance. There is also a dive center right onsite and water sports, boat rentals, etc. I cannot say enough great things about the quality of staff and service, everyone so helpful, warm, accommodating and friendly, and I felt very "at home" here straight away, including at the local restaurants. The hotel itself is on a prime location on a small peninsula, surrounded by sea with great open water swimming. The village of Paleokastritsa is quite small, and you will need to take a car or motorbike to see local sights and the island (which I didn't do.) The hotel has a free shuttle bus to Corfu Town once a week, which I did take, and the morning in Corfu Town was a wonderful little break from my beach routine, for cultural sights and shopping. The hotel itself could use some small bits of update and cleaning here and there in the common areas and bathroom, but my hotel room was beautiful, cute, very updated and clean. Overall I was super happy all around with my visit and would certainly consider a return visit. Finally to note, prices were very reasonable as well, from the room rate to food, drinks and amenities at the local shops.
