Lovely hotel close to all attractions

Posted Sep 17, 2017
We have just returned from a lovely stay at the hotel. We loved the location, 3 mins away from bus stop into the old town which was amazing. Turn left out the hotel and walk for 10 mins to see the old monastery set in the sea, breathtaking views! The view from our room was brilliant as we could watch the planes taking off and landing from our balcony. Staff were great. Christos in the pool bar was lovely and friendly as was the restaurant manager. All.staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful. We asked for an iron on a few occasions and it was delivered in 2 mins. Only negative would be lack of tea and coffee making facilities in room otherwise our stay was excellent and we would definitely recommend and go back.

Pros: Facilities, people, food, professionalism.access to local bus service basically outside.
Cons: Nothing leave it exactly how it is
Location: Local bus service goes by every 20 minutes and takes you straight into the old town in a few minutes
We enjoyed our stay, and will definitely visit again. The Staff are super professional. It was as if we were age old freinds.Breakfast buffet was fantastic. The view was amazing. When we arrived we didn't realise how close to the airport we were. After a day you get used to the planes landing and taking off,its kind of neat. Also there is this amazing family run restaurant 700 meters up the road, called Captain George. Must eat there,we discovered it 2 days before we left. Two out of two dinners we're a huge thumbs up. Thank you for looking after us so well Divani Palace.

Fantastic place to stay in Corfu.

Posted Aug 28, 2017
We had a lovely stay at the Divani Corfu Palace - Mum, Dad and 6 year old son. All members of staff were really friendly and welcoming, the hotel itself was very clean and very well maintained. Our room was cleaned daily with new towels and beds made and our personal belongings tidied up as we were sometimes in a rush to go to breakfast. This was welcome and not intrusive. The buffet style breakfast catered for all tastes, English full breakfast (Dad) to continental (Mum) to bit of eveything (Son). If you didn't want to eat out then the evening meal (buffet style) was excellent for variety and value. The hotel had many internal places of relaxation with sofas, tables and device charging points for guests to just sit down and relax. There were also very well maintained external areas with child playing facilities. The swimming pool and area was extremely clean with plenty of loungers, chairs and umbrellas. It is in my opinion a great place for a family holiday. The only downside (and nothing to do with the hotel) was that the road left and right of the hotel entrance/exit has no pavements and being packed with parked cars meant you were always dodging local buses, tour buses, cars, motorbikes etc... to go anywhere. However, there was no booming music in the hotel and the overall ambience was very relaxing and tranquil.

Scenic hotel

A clean and spacious hotel with scenic views of the mountains. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We stayed bed and breakfast, meals in the old town are plentiful and a 10-15 minute bus ride away.

Functional, comfortable, helpful staff.

Hotel was functional and comfortable. Rooms were rather dated and the location close to the airport meant there was some aircraft noise in the rooms and pool/balcony area.

We stayed at Divani Corfu Palace for a long weekend .. the location was good we walked into Corfu town... easily , but bus service was regular , taxis we found exsoensive for the distance travelled . We were on a B&B basis and breakfast was exceptable. Hotel staff were friendly .room was clean and comfortable , balcony overlooking garden.Hotel is a little dated but overall our stay was very good

great hotel - close to corfu town

Posted Oct 3, 2016
Pros: most things
Cons: more fruit for breakfast
Location: as above
fascinating area! lots of ruins and prince Phillip was born just up the road. Kanoni was the original Corfu harbour - now an airport!!- dont worry -- not too intrusive at all - and we had a room facing the airport. hotel clean ++ and decor in keeping with the era in which it was built staff friendly ++ pool is brilliant do go down to beyond corfu palace hotel where there are fantastic quiet bars/eateries, where at night the planes come in over you. nothing else like it in the world. you can even walk to corfu town , and stop off in bars along the way. take the bridge past the airport to the other side of the bay and explore that region. have dinner in captain georges cafe opposite corfu palace hotel we stayed here 2 weeks and had a really great time, as its easy to get into town and the take buses to the rest of the island

Disappointing Divani Property

Posted Sep 26, 2016 on Hotels
Older property in dire need of renovation. Room was worn though extremely clean, nice balcony view to the water but overlooking the airport runway so it's noisy early and late into the night. Room had two beds - a double and a twin. Double was not at all comfortable - thin with prominent coils - my wife and I actually took to the twin just to have a decent night sleep. Breakfast was included, quite a good selection with attentive friendly manager and wait staff. Front desk staff, unfortunately, was not as helpful. We asked them to arrange for a taxi to pick us up at a specific time and they wouldn't do it. Told us they could only make the call when we were ready and in the lobby then the taxi would arrive in 5 minutes. Ended up waiting more than 40 minutes. Worse, the two at the front desk also talked badly about foreign customers in Greek. When they realized we understood them, they tried to bring us in on their jokes. Not professional and we won't return. Plus, it's a long walk (40 minutes) from central Corfu town along a well-trafficked single lane road. Made for a few harrowing moments as buses and cars sped past.
