Wonderful, historic hotel close to Cork.Posted Nov 13, 2015
Cons: The walls were a little thin... we had a loud elderly couple next door. We just ran the bathroom fan until they went to sleep (early)!
Location: Blarney Castle, a few really excellent restaurants, easy bus ride to Cork. A really great location slightly off the beaten path.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Wollen Mills. The hotel and rooms are beautiful and roomy. We loved the store and the wonderful restaurant with the BEST scones I have ever eaten. The bus to Cork was about 15 mins and we were so glad to stay away from the busy-ness of Cork. The restaurants in the Blarney area were fabulous and the walk over to the Blarney Castle was so great. We really loved this hotel and Blarney.

Great locationPosted Oct 30, 2015
Pros: Location, friendly staff, lovely room.
Location: Lots of shopping at the Woollen mills shop. Visit the castle. Good restaurants, bars and a lovely coffee shop in Blarney village.
We stayed for 2 nights at the hotel. Lovely staff and great facilities for eating and shopping. A great base for visiting Cork and beyond. We will definitely recommend it to others!

Great hotel - just check it really is availablePosted Aug 29, 2015 on Hotels
Overnight stay while on business in the Cork area. Initial confusion at first as hotels.com often list rooms as available and take payment when in fact there are no rooms available - the girl on reception told me. Eventually she managed to make a room that was not suitable (broken bed) suitable. Great room, fantastic food in cristys bar and they even threw breakfast in due to the confusion. Another traveller was less lucky as he turned up just after me , same story but no room this time - beware. Gym is basic but functional. Wifi throughout and a decent speed too. Definitely recommend.

Good around stayPosted Aug 7, 2015 on Hotels
Very good, right in the heart of Blarney and only a short walk from the Castle. Food was good and the front desk staff were very accomodating.

Great Stay!Posted May 8, 2015 on Hotels
Overall the stay was lovely, great hotel in a nice location with everything you would need on hand. The only thing I would fault is breakfast on the first day - I had salmon and scrambled eggs which was presented so terribly I couldn't eat it .. It was all just thrown together with juice on the plate. I had full English the following days which was perfect though and staff were all friendly and helpful. The meal in the hotel pub was fabulous and I would stay here again without a doubt if I was in the area :)

Disappointing stayPosted Apr 30, 2015 on Hotels
Wonderful location, great conversion from a mill into a tourist venue, but they forgot the sound insulation! We were in a first floor room right over the reception area, and the night porter hosted a noisy party that went through from about 2am, to 5am. We rang to voice our complaint at 2.45am, but it still continued. Also, there is no signage pointing to the hotel entrance. Another minor irritation was the very loud annoying music playing as we had breakfast in the dining area. Spoilt an otherwise great trip.
