Few days breake in beautiful Padstow and cornwell

Posted Oct 24, 2016
Potentially a fantastic hotel in a premium location in Padstow with beautiful views of the bay. Condition/ decor is extremely tired and dated and needs a complete update. e.g bathroom- bath and tiles and room furniture and decor is dowdy and depressing- brown old colours and chairs that a charity shop would refuse to take. Such a shame as staff, breakfast and hotel position is fantastic. Millions required to update this beautiful but tired iconic building on the Padstow landscape.

Worn out and under funded

Posted Oct 21, 2016
An expensive stay given the hotel condition. Both the fabric and facilities were just worn out. This hotel needs serious investment. The staff were all nice people trying hard, but the cost for what was on offer was on the point of offensive.

Great breakfast and location, parking a challenge

Posted Oct 20, 2016
Location: Easy place to use as a base for this part of Cornwall. Couple of nice pubs. We ate at Rick steins seafood restaurant and it almost broke the bank.
The sea view room had a good view but they are dredging whenever the tide is low whatever the hour of the day. Shower in the room was terrific and it was a short walk to everything.

Nice hotel very handy for touring north Cornwall

Pros: Most things.
Cons: Turn off the bright floodlight at the front of the hotel that keeps the rooms at the front like daylight all night
Location: Great location and lots to do
Very pleasant 4 day stay for our 25th wedding anversary. Top location for every thing around 25 mile radius and top class hotel.

Great position, 1 minute's walk from the harbour.

Pros: Location. View. Breakfast.
Cons: Reception needed another person on duty. Decor a bit tired/dated. Car park booking a bit shambolic!
Location: Great location. Padstow is stunning.
Hotel is a bit tired/dated, but in an excellent position next to Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant, only a minute from the picturesque town centre and harbour. Pleasantly surprised with the outlook over the estuary, although the fishing boats were a bit noisy before it got light! Superb breakfast.

Car Parking / Restaurant Manager

Posted Sep 29, 2016
Pros: Location.
Cons: Resurface and mark out car park correctly, Rooms a little shabby need upgrading.and air-con fitting.
Location: Ideal location with plenty to see and do in walking distance .
Asked to book space not told would be charged £5 a night. When the Restaurant manager was on duty the whole place was badly organized compared to his off days when the place run smoothly,

Great location

Very enjoyable stay, good facilities and very nice staff but the hotel in general is a bit tired. Location couldn't be better, steps from the car park right to The Seafood Restaurant and only a few minutes from the rest of the town.

Excellent Hotel

Posted Sep 13, 2016
Pros: Everything
The hotel is in a lovely location in the centre of Padstow with lovely views over the town and Camel Estuary. The welcome on arrival by the hotel staff was very friendly and we were invited to have a complimentary pot of tea/coffee with biscuits at the bar overlooking the estuary to help us recover from our journey. The room itself was nicely furnished, large, clean and had a lovely big bathroom. The staff throughout our stay were very friendly and helpful and the food served in the brasserie was excellent.
