We thought the hotel has alot of potential, beautiful grounds, lovely pools, very peaceful etc, but a few things holding it back from being the hotel you expect for the price. For example, the staff in the restaurant seem lazy and unhelpful, and the kitchen is definitely understaffed, as one day for lunch it took 1 and a half hours to get our lunch. The included breakfast is nice, the pancakes are lovely, but you only get one. No teabags so tea lovers bring your own! Nice pool, but the fresh water pool could do with a clean. Our room was comfortable, but it lacked a few things,eg the complimentary water and toiletries were not refilled in the 3 days. The hotel was generally clean but our bathroom was a little grubby, and it's annoying how the shower gets the whole bathroom wet. Good points about the hotel is that you can borrow pool towels free of charge, they give you a nice welcome drink on arrival and the beautiful grounds. The boat service that takes you to and from Coron town proper is very good, and runs up until 10:45pm. The two men who work on this boat are lovely. I appreciate thatyou can pay alot more for the 'island hotel' experience, and this is a relatively budget hotel for a similar experience, but we found that in cheaper places we have received much better customer service, bathroom facilities and restaurants. Overall an enjoyable stay.
