Convienent and quiet

Relaxing hotel on the beach.

Easy path to beach. Nice views from 3rd floor. Hotel is older but maintained adequately. They exchange towels daily or as you need them. Staff friendly and helpful. Elevator is quick and plenty room.

Close to the beach.The people working there were very helpful and friendly.They made our stay very enjoyable.

Great location

Room was clean, plenty of towels in the room. Wish there would have been coffee cups and silverware available. There were paper coffee cups but not very big. The vending machines were empty virh days. Quiet and peaceful.

Our previous vending company sadly went out of business and we're looking for another to replace them. Rats. Though we have coffee mugs and silverware in the Condos, we keep it pretty light in the hotel style rooms...but next time, just call and ask and we'll be happy to run up those type of items to you to use while you're here. See you again soon.

Pros: Everything!
Location: We strolled down the beach, and even got to witness a beautiful beach wedding! A taxi was very convenient and even took us to Bernie's. GREAT!
The lady at front desk was AMAZING and very helpful as to tell us what would be going on at the beach and in Port A. Condo was very nice, and close to beach activities. Will definitely be going back soon!!!!!!

BAD LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Terrible place to stay if you just want to relax. I was asked to leave the pool area after I had asked the clerk at the front desk if I could move a portable grill to where we were and were monitoring it. Yet later we saw plenty of people doing the same and drinking from glass bottles. which there is a sign that states no glass in pool area. when my brother in law went to complain at the front desk about being asked to leave she ignored him and after a couple of mins left. the pet area are very filthy and people do not pickup after their pets so please DONOT waste your hard earned money on this Place. First Impressions are Everything for Me and I still have a Very Bad impression about this place

Dora, I am so sorry you had a bad experience with us here at Beachgate. I'm really shocked that they asked you to leave the pool area...rather than just let you know we can't have portable grills around the pool for safety reasons. If a running child or stray pool toy knocked the hot coals on the deck we'd have some potential for disaster. Though we have two built in grill areas by the pool/shuffleboard lawn, we would also allow portables over there on the grassy area. In either case, the staff should not be rude and I apologize for that. The whole team is trained to try and be observant about the No-glass policy around the pools....since broken glass in the pool means we have to drain it in order to get all the glass out. During the busiest part of the day when they are working to turn room around for incoming guests, they aren't nearly as focused on that facet, but should always be available to respond to your notification that someone is using glass around the pool. I will definitely talk with everyone about that. The Pet Waste Disposal stations have generally been very helpful at "helping" pet owners clean up after their dogs. Sadly, some guests are not responsible pet owners in this regard. Maintenance will respond quickly though to clean up what they don't, as we certainly want to keep it from tracking into the rooms.
