A little expensive for a motor lodge on freewayPosted Oct 6, 2015
Pros: It was clean.
Cons: The night staff and the price.
Location: Went for sailing school and that was fabulous.
The night clerk was missing and we waited for about 7 minutes for him to return. The hotel was older. It is right on the freeway. I picked this because of it's rating. I thought it was over rated.

Hotel charged me an additional 165.00 plus dollarsPosted Sep 15, 2015
Pros: I thought it was ok until I had to report a fraud case this morning for unauthourized use of my card.
Cons: New management and a receipt for every transaction.
Location: Expedia must have outsourced to india they are hard to understand and there were no notes from the supervisor at the hotel. No to expedia and thehotel
By the way your expedia customer service is terrible and I would not advise anyone to take advantage of their "Mystery Hotel" sale. We were not told that the room was smoking and in an upstairs room at the econo lodge one of the cheaper hotels that did not have elevator. I had a knee injury and did not want to climb stairs to add to the misery. It was advertised as handicapped accessible. I talked to the hotel and expedia ahead of time and explained the lack of information from both parties but the reservation was locked in no refunds blah blah. I get to the hotel and they did give me a bottom floor room all was ok until I looked at my checking account after I checked our on Saturday 12 of Sept. 2015. I was charged originally $201.00 by expedia prior to checking in then the hotel charged me $165.00 plus dollars taken out of my checking account as I did not have a credit card. I was a negative $84.00 because of the hotel. I called them first they reversed it and it would take days to correct. I asked for compensation for tying up my account and causing nsf charges they offered 20 percent off my next stay. Our account was locked up and I called my bank and expedia because the hotel claimed they didnt have certain information. Mananger ineffective he is the one that took my card that day and because of him I was charged more money that ruined the last day of my vacation from all of the phone calls. He was blaming expedia. The hotel told me today a glitch in the computer is cause

Keeping in RealPosted Aug 24, 2015 on Hotels
The people were nice. The location, while convenient, is in a very questionable part of town. The price is good so, the value proposition is strong but, I would not stay there when travelling with my family.

Not greatPosted Aug 22, 2015 on Hotels
I didn't realize smoking rooms were still available, but i got one. The room smelled like an ash tray. The neighborhood wasn't the best, a lot of homeless in the area. The staff was very friendly, about the only thing I can say good about this hotel.

Not quite to standardsPosted Aug 22, 2015 on Hotels
This hotel is not expensive but it is not a bargain either. The parking lot is small, the breakfast area too small - we had to take the breakfast to the room - and cleanliness less than optimal, including a roach. I wouldn't recommend it.

it was decent enough for the price. the comforters and carpets were sort of yucky & could've used a wash, but the sheets were clean and actually very nice. the rest of the room was clean. not a great neighborhood, but not scary. the office staff was very nice.

Door left open 10+ hours while we were away.Posted Aug 4, 2015 on Hotels
We've stayed at this hotel 2 years prior and had a good experience, however booking this hotel again was a HUGE mistake. The room was decent but the customer service was atrocious. One day we decided to go to the beach, we were gone all day from 1:00pm until 11:30pm. We came home at night to find our door open, not just UNLOCKED but actually OPEN. I immediately contacted the front desk then and there and the guy at the night desk came and checked out the room. He said he'd let his manager know and I couldn't believe that it had been open 10+ hours with all our stuff (electronics, clothes, etc.) in it. I waited until morning and we went to the front desk and spoke with the girl at the front, and said please have the manager contact us because that's a pretty major error and we need to talk about it. She said that the manager David wasn't in that day and it continued to be that way for 5 more days until we had to say we’d call the Better Business Bureau for him to contact in 5 minutes. He offered no apology, asked us what we wanted, like we were inconveniencing him, and we said there’s nothing you can do about it now besides give a refund for the huge error, and said he’ll see what he can do and call us back. He never did and I’m severely disappointed this took 5 days and some pressure to even get a manager, and not only that even the manager was completely unprofessional. During all this time, he never even seemed to care like we were inconveniencing him. That is pretty sad.
