We arrived a little early knowing that registration is at 4 pm. However, we observed many people registering and directed to their rooms. When asked we were told to wait until the room was available. After observing several others get registered and given access to their rooms, I inquired about canceling our reservation and obtaining a refund. The hotel employee said she had to ask her manager. The manager came out with an attitude and condescendingly advised me that registration was not until 4 pm. However, that was not the answer to my question. Also, while I was speaking with the manager, I was advised that my room was ready now. I acquiesced and registered for our stay. We went up to our room and discovered an odd smell. We attempted to call to the desk but the phone was not working. We then went to get ice from the ice machine on our floor but the ice machine was not working. No one could tell us what the smell was and did not offer any resolution. We had to get ice from the bar as no other ice machine was operational. We later had dinner at the restaurant attached to the hotel and the AC was not working so it was very hot in the restaurant. Also, we observed some ceiling tiles missing and exposed insulation in the ceiling above the restaurant where apparently some repairs where in progress. The food was expensive and although not bad, it was commensurate with the price.
Pros: The view and the proximity to the beach.
Cons: Repair broken equipment to provide ice on each floor, repair telephones to communicate with the front desk from the room, and clean up the dinning are
