Going to USS Lexington

Pros: On the beach!! Very nice, very close to USS Lexington.
Location: There's the USS Lexington, an aircraft carrier and the restaurant across the street. A few shops also...
Hello, it was nice and clean. The Lobby was super cold... Good thing it was warmer outside... very friendly personnel... Serving you with a smile.

Gross hotel, on the bay not beach

Pros: Nice check in from employees
Cons: Clean it fix the falling tiles from the ceiling, clean the hallways of old dirty trays od the bathroom tub had previous guests hair in the drain.
The halls and room was filthy and smelled. It was very loud. It was pretty gross. we couldn't get out of there quick enough.

Great location! Several restaurants within walking distance. Very close to the USS Lexington and aquarium! On the beach, easy access!

The beach and water are dirty and full of jellyfish. Food is expensive and mediocre.

Needs major update & no WiFi

Pros: God location
Cons: Everything but the location.
Location: North Beach near USS Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium.
When I was first checked in, I was given a room in which the door to the hallway would not open or close properly unless I put my shoulder behind in when entering the room and pulling hard with both hands when leaving. I reported it to the front desk and got assigned a different room so I had to repack everything to move. The WiFi was a total joke. They advertise free WiFi, even though you are paying an extra 7 dollars and change a day for a separate hotel fee, but then it turns out to be worthless. It was barely strong enough to connect but then the signal wasn't strong enough to do anything with. Couldn't download anything on the net, etc. The only thing the hotel had going for it was it's location next to the USS Lexington and an easy walk to the Texas State Aquarium. The mini Fridge needed defrosting badly.

Nice hotel right on the beach. Only bad part was all the jellyfish that were piping up on the beach. But hotel was nice. N having a balcony with the view of the ocean very nice. I will recommend to other. N will come back.

Perfectly located ON the beach

We had fond memories of this hotel from about 5 years ago when we attended a family reunion party here. Things were MUCH different this time around! The front desk staff were wonderful upon check-in, and even gave us an ocean view room. The room wasn't anything special; we've stayed in a Hampton Inn that was less expensive and provided a far better luxury experience. The real downer was on a Friday afternoon, being 93 degrees and sunny outside, and the poolside bar was closed. Such a great ammenity, and we couldn't even enjoy it this time, as we had during our last stay. I went inside to the restaurant to order a couple beers to take out to the pool, and after 1 employee couldn't help me bc he was shoveling his burger down his throat, another man tried. He brought me 2 beers, in glass bottles, that aren't allowed out by the pool, and said for me to pour it into my own cup. Well, I'm on vacation and am fresh out of cups!! I said nevermind and went back to swimming, sans beverages. Big kudos to the front desk staff, as they seemed like the only people who knew what they were doing!

Clean hotel with great view

Booked this trip as a gift for retired Navy Chief hubby. He loved the view of the Lexington. Hotel was clean, staff was great.

Good and already recommended to family and friends. Only problem in our room 730 the ceiling tiles would lift up every time we was in the shower and that creep us out a bit.
