Lovely hotel resort, highly recommended.

Posted Dec 5, 2017
We had a lovely stay there. The facilities are fantastic and the cleanliness of the whole resort is second to none. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There are lovely restaurants on site and entertainment every evening in the form of a relaxing and sophisticated piano bar. The spa is fantastic and a great way to start or end your day. You can also walk to town in 20 minutes so everything is on your doorstep. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel with great facilities

Posted Nov 28, 2017
Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Lovely pool area, well equipped gym and great spa. The beach in the nature park is fantastic - lovely for walking along. The hotel is a long way out of town though - too dark to take the scenic route along the front at night time since not easy walking terrain & not a pleasant walk along the road. Also the area around the hotel is pretty horrible with derelict, unoccupied buildings & a lot of building work going on. It is fine when you are in the hotel looking out to sea but not great when you arrive or leave.

Beautiful hotel amazing service

Posted Nov 23, 2017
Four night mini break Fabulous time made better by the wonderful staff. Great room and balcony. Loved the pillow menu! Only slight criticisms would be that the pool spa area is looking a bit tired. Lots of cobwebs looking up to high ceiling and steam room was only tepid. Also it isnt made clear that the cicoa beach and lounge area on the water is chargeable and the dinner buffet is very expensive considering it's a help yourself rather than table service. Minor things because it's fabulous and would visit again

Excellent hotel

Posted Nov 12, 2017
Pros: Comfortable and great breakfast.
Cons: room service. Our room was never serviced before nearly 2.00 pm each day. Nuisance when returning to your room after being round pool or in spa.
Lovely hotel - bit of a walk to the resort but lovely on the beach and hotel wonderful.

Great hotel, amazing staff. Excellent breakfast. Only downside is apart from one tacky beach bar and a small supermarket nothing else within a 25 minute walk.

Beach location but rather isolated

Posted Nov 8, 2017
Pros: The staff and food were excellent. The room sea views and quality of bedding was excellent.
Cons: Unfortunately the problems generally can't be improved by the hotel apart from trying to provide a quiet room when it is requested prior to arrival.
Location: Location is fairly isolated and there are a lot of unfinished and run down properties.
Great hotel, great staff, and tremendous breakfast. Beach location but next to derelict buildings and around 25 minutes walk to edge of town, 35 minutes to harbour and old part. Rooms can be a bit noisy as there is an external tiled corridor and you can hear suitcases, service trolleys and people talking. We also had a restaurant underneath us and noisy people in the rooms above us so there was unfortunately disturbed sleep.

Quality Hotel

Posted Nov 6, 2017
Pros: Plenty of sun beds, good food and spotlessly clean
Cons: Bar prices very high.
Location: Impossible to get into the sea due to volcanic rocks. 5 Euro ride taxi to town where shops and restaurants are in plentiful supply.
great staff make this Hotel a top notch place to visit.

Not Bad, Not Great

Posted Sep 26, 2017
Hotel is on the beach but a very small rocky beach, doesn't look like the picture at all. Lots of beach chairs and lots of room at the pool as well. The rooms are little outdated but clean. You really can't leave the hotel so the lunches and dinners can add up quickly, the buffet for dinner is $40/euro and its not that great. The Japanese restaurant was the best. The staff was nice and helpful as well. The spa is ok, there is a huge indoor pool which is great but they make you wear a hair net which is weird, really takes the romance out of the Jacuzzi with your husband when he is wearing a hair net! Overall, relaxing, nothing to do except lay-out and rest which was nice.

Luxury hotel with national character

Posted Sep 25, 2017
Luxury Spanish character hotel. It's a large hacienda with spacious rooms, antique furniture and big marble bathrooms. All staff dressed in Spanish national costumes which enhances feeling of antiques... Services are excellent, I would say even exceptional, and food are above all expectations! You can go there just to enjoy the food! The only thing we didn't like (and it's out of the hotel control) was the beach and stormy Atlantic. However, swimming pools and SPA compensated for that disappointment. Overall, the level of comfort is outstanding and the hotel is highly recommended.
