Looks Abandoned, Smells Old

Posted Oct 9, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Everything. You should not run a business under those conditions. If you plan on remodeling, shut down and do it!!
Location: Easy access to 45
The arrival was scary. Pulled in and commercial dumpsters full of trash, the office has no personnel and you can tell they are under construction. Waited about 5 minutes to be acknowledged. At that time I really wanted to cancel this place but I knew I wouldn't get a refund from Expedia. While waiting for someone to acknowledge me, I wondered if they even serve breakfast the way mentioned when I booked because the dining room was under construction as well. They never even offered the breakfast and I didn't even ask because we wouldn't eat there if it was for free. The person that does the housekeeping is doing their job but the owners of this place need to treat the rooms for rodents and insects. The room seemed tidy but the odor was as if its old or rancid. Rooms also needs updated curtains; the ones hanging in the room we got were torn/stained. You also need to provide water for the coffee maker; they don't provided bottled water for this either :/

It Is A Roof & Bed

Posted Jun 8, 2017 on Hotels
Nothing electric was plugged in except the TV. The wireless internet was non existent. The room appeared clean, but my rug rat kept finding old, disgusting jelly beans. However, the bed was ckean and comfortable.

My room the door did NOT SHUT NOR LOCK. The phones in the room didn't work. The place was nasty. If youre there for more than one day you have to ASK for them to clean your room.

Clean hotel for a night - Inside Renovated

Posted Apr 16, 2017 on Hotels
If you need a cheap place to spend this night, this is it. This place has sold the back half of their hotel to Knights Inn and the front half is the Super 8 motel. Don't be confused. It looks like a dump on the outside but the rooms have been fully renovated on the inside so give them a chance. The beds are comfy, the shower/bathroom clean, and if you get the downstairs room closest to the first set of stairs, there's a large external trash can and a soda machine that sells gatorades and limited sodas there too. Not sure about ice but there is a Valero gas station on the street facing the street. Hopefully you won't feel too bad there's a La Quinta Inn & Suites next door and a Holiday Inn Express Suites across the street. Personally I'd rather stay there but if the room rate is $44-$50 a night for double queens, NS, I'm okay with just one night there.

Only Because of the Dog

Posted Apr 10, 2017 on Hotels
This was a last minute stay...not really planned. We had our dog with us so we needed to find a place that would accept pets. The description of the hotel contradicted itself - in one place it said it took pets and in another it said no pets. When we arrived at the hotel, we noticed it was part of a loyalty program we use, but unlike other hotels, they couldn't look up our number and give us credit for the stay. The beds were nice...the bed area seemed to be fairly newly redone (we had a room with 2 queens and they had the same picture over both beds). However, the cleaning crew left the soap from the previous occupants and no towels. Fortunately, my husband was able to get soap and towels at the front desk. There was a little coffee bar but no coffee maker. The remote for the tv barely worked...very difficult to change channels or even just to turn on and off. The cold water in the sink had to run for a little while before it was cold (it came out hot). The door was difficult to lock properly. The price was very economical and they did accept pets, but I'm willing to pay a little more for a nicer room. We won't stay here again (or at the same chain most likely) unless we absolutely have to.
