DON'T DO IT!!

Posted Oct 13, 2017
DIRTY, LOUD, NO A/C, DIRTY!!!! DATED. I can't believe we spent $200 for one night in this hotel; in the middle of the night, we started looking for other hotels to go to as we COULD NOT SLEEP! But there was Fleet Week in SF so all other hotels were booked up!!! It was hot and loud (they had one of those standing cooling fans that was SOO LOUD). The bathroom sink, it is like they had never cleaned it. Total RIP OFF. I would like for my money back!

OK in a pinch but not recommended

Posted Oct 10, 2017
The room smelled bad. Noisy bathroom fan. Ceiling fan but no air conditioning. On the plus side it was quiet and well located.

We appreciate you for taking the time to share your review. We sincerely apologize that we were not able to exceed your expectations on this visit. I will ensure your comments are shared with the Executive Housekeeper directly regarding the odor of the room. We realize you have choices when selecting a hotel and yes, without having air conditioning on hot days can become a little uncomfortable. We are in the process of having new air conditioning heating units installed. We hope you will give us a chance to earn back your trust when the temperature is not as hot. I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of.

Visited Muir Woods, Big Sur.

Posted Sep 20, 2017
Pros: The beautiful outdoor sitting area. The rooms were suites.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Location was great for us. Walked two blocks to the mall and ate at a wonderful Restaurant.
Wonderful, we enjoyed CA. Had never been across the Golden Gate Bridge. The Big Sur is beautiful.

Better management needed of front desk

Posted Sep 18, 2017
Cons: Better front desk and hotel management.
I arrived at the hotel later in the evening. There was a women in the lobby who was obviously disturbed, and intoxicated. While I understand that it's not within the control of management when incidents occur, it is certainly in their control to handle. The front desk attendant did nothing to call authorities to remove her from the premises. She was not a guest. After our party checked in (I was traveling with 2 others who each had a room.) the woman said "I can't believe you gave that **expletive** a room and not me." She was directing that at the female business colleague I was with. Later, the male colleague went down as he was unable to get into his room. The woman was still there and nothing had been done to ask her to leave. I have a client in Marin and will not stay at this property in the future.

LOVE THIS PLACE

Posted Sep 5, 2017
After having a not so great experience at our previous hotel and checking out early, we were so excited to find a last minute available room at the Marin Suites. Both times we have stayed here we have felt so comfortable and "at home". Well be in town again next weekend and keep checking for a cancellation to book a room. That is how much we love this place, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Another thing is with this location you are in the middle of so many attractions that it leaves a short drive in between activites which is a huge positive.

The bed mattress was not comfortable at all. All of the mattresses we had were worn out.

Nice location

Posted Aug 24, 2017
Stuff was curious, so no complains about that, however the building structure itself is dilapitaded and old. No central AC, only portable ones in living room and one bedroom (we had 2 bedroom suite, so no portable AC unit in the second bedroom). I felt unsafe to open the windows overnight on the first level. Carpets were old and dirty and the suite had that pungent smell. No easy or visible office access from the looping parking lot.

Pleasant Suite Hotel away from the City

Posted Aug 20, 2017
Pros: Pleasant and quiet away from the City
Cons: The air conditioning in the rooms
Location: A 20 minute drive from the City in a quiet residential area. A supermarket/shops and restaurants are a short drive away further along the main road
We stayed at the Suites for 3 nights as a family of 5. The hotel Reception staff were friendly in a small reception area. The hotel had plenty of free parking. The suite for 5 adults was of enough size with a kitchen/dining and sitting area open plan with two bedrooms sleeping 6 (3 double beds) with one bathroom. The suite is advertised with A/C which is correct, but this consists of THREE free standing a/c units, not installed A/C. The ice for these units was available on hotel ground floor near the pool. Although these units were of good help, but not as good as installed A/C . The pool area was pleasant with a lovely warm jacuzzi along with a separate indoor and outdoor seating area. The breakfast was self service with lots of variety. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area with a small cinema next door and a shopping area a short drive away with restaurants/shops and a supermarket. The drive to San Francisco city is approx 20 minutes. We used UBER taxi's one morning costing $49 for 5 people. The hotel is away from the City which suited our family to come away from the hustle and bustle and to see a bit more of San Francisco area.

Home Away From Home

Marin Suites is a great deal for the area. The 1 bedroom suites are the size of a comfortable apartment. Having a full kitchen really gives ease for quick, healthy meal options on the road. The Breakfast has many delicious offerings and is replenished and tended well by hotel staff. Great option for the Corte Madera area!!!
