Good location

Posted Sep 11, 2017
Pros: The jacuzzi was nice when we were able to use it.
Cons: Seriously NEEDS more parking. By 9pm there was NO parking except across the street where kids were hanging out and drinking.
Location: I love how close it is to the river and Durango.
Nice enough rooms for an old hotel. We wanted to sit in the jacuzzi at night but there was a large group of young people partying two of the three nights we were there. It was nice the one night we were able to use it. The breakfast was nice but I wish it could last a little later.

Worth it

Posted Sep 7, 2017
Nice hotel with a very friendly and efficient staff. Other hotels in "canyon country" are overpriced, but this is worth it. Room was very clean. We came back for a second stay.

Huge room

Posted Aug 26, 2017
Pros: Room, staff
This is a motel style hotel. We were given a family suite which had 2 double beds in the main room and a separate bedroom with another double bed. Bathroom plus dressing area with 2 sinks and huge counter area. There was a sofa bed in the main room too, plus TVs in the main room and bedroom. Included buffet breakfast which included a waffle station, hot items like sausage and eggs, cereals, toast etc. Felt a bit odd eating with paper plates and disposable cutlery but I guess this keeps the cost down. Small hotel gift shop has some really nice pieces. Ann was very friendly and engaging and gave us some information about Mesa Verde which was really helpful. She was lovely to our 6 year old too. We didn't use the hotel pool and ate at Main Street brewery down the road which was great.

Looks Better Than Was

Posted Aug 23, 2017
Pros: Friendly Staff
Cons: The AC next to the beds.
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were supposedly renovated but out of the 7 hotels we stayed during our Colorado adventure, this was the most disappointing. The renovated room seemed a little run down and it was extremely loud. The air conditioner was so close to the bed that in order for the two sleeping next to it, the air conditioner had to be turned down lower, very poor placement of the beds. I would avoid the hotel if I were going back.

Nice hoyel

Good clean rooms. Breakfast was more than plentiful. Food ranged from fruit and yogurt to cereal, waffles, hot eggs and gravy and meat. Very impressed with the cleaning staff. I would recommend this hotel.

Just Acceptable

Posted Jul 31, 2017
We only stayed one night and everything worked out fine, but not really what I expected from Best Western. It wasn't clear to me when I booked that this is a motel, not a hotel. We've stayed in much nicer girls than this for much less money on our trip.
