Beautiful hotel

Only stayed one night on Alps motoring tour but what an excellent hotel only let down by long wait in restaurant as both meals were incorrect.

Very helpful and caring staff. We were allowed to choose our room from several options. Not very close to the center, about 15 minutes walk, but very silent neighgourhood. Close type garage is a plus.

The room was small and the furnishings a bit tatty. The wifi reception was erratic and very annoying. Staff were efficient and charming. Overall the hotel was not up to the standard indicated by the cost.

A mixed experience

Posted Jan 3, 2016 on Hotels
The pros: friendly staff, terrace views, and a location far enough away from town to give you a nice perspective of Cortina, but with only a 10 – 15 pleasant walk there. Dinner at the restaurant (Amadeus) is top-notch, and the wait staff is friendly and hard working, although they can sometimes become overwhelmed, and the live entertainment is charmingly cheesy. Cons: the rooms are very ‘last century’ (which could be said for the entire town). They’re relatively small, the décor and plumbing could use a renovation, and the internet is on the slow side. At Cortina prices, one might be left wanting a little more.

Charming boutique hotel with superb staff

Posted Dec 31, 2015 on Wotif
Pros: The position, the views, the food, the staff and the old world charm of the common areas.
Cons: The pillows were flat but when we asked, fresh fluffy ones were delivered. The breakfast needs variety. After a few days, you would need a change.
Location: A 1.5 klm walk to town centre, but they will drop you off and pick you up in a mini bus. The view makes up for it. lots of food. Ski fields close.
We wanted to experience a boutique hotel in the alps close to ski fields. Villa Blu is fabulous with spectacular views of the alps, superb food and the staff are wonderful. Could not help us enough with the language and the usual and unusual. 10/10 for them
