Nice hotel, close to the college, bed uncomfortable

Posted Oct 10, 2017
Pros: The staff.
Cons: Bed and air conditioning.
Location: It was convenient to visit the college.
The staff was kind and helpful. The lobby was clean and the breakfast area was nice. The bed was very uncomfortable and the air conditioner was a loud unit in the wall.

Nice hotel near campus

Posted Sep 29, 2017
Cons: Hard boiled eggs at breakfast.
Location: Near campus. Lime Hollow Nature Center is a great place for a short or long walk.
Visiting our son to see his team play. Lovely, clean hotel with very friendly staff at affordable rate. Breakfast included!

Very good hotel, best in the area.

Posted Sep 18, 2017
Pros: Friendly staff and excellent breakfast.
Cons: Police smokers a bit better. If people smoke out in front of hotel the stench comes right in the vents.
Location: great base of operations for anything to do with SUNY Cortland, not far from events at Greek Peak, and a very pretty ride up to Skaneateles.
I've stayed at a number of hotels in Cortland and this is the best. Great if you have five people, get the suite and save money. Pool, whirlpool, exercise room, office area, great breakfast. Central to most everything in Cortland and Homer, but not close to the highway.

We'll be back

Posted Sep 13, 2017
For the location a stone's throw from SUNY Cortland, you'd think a hotel this inexpensive would be a dive. But you'd be wrong. The hotel was warm and friendly. A sitting room with books and board games greeted us near the main desk which was well supplied with Otis Spunkmeyer cookies and brownies. The room was clean and everything was in perfect working order. The complementary breakfast had a great selection. It was a very busy Sunday morning and the staff was buzzing around cheerily stocking and tidying everything. She even made time to greet someone by name and ask how his mother was doing. Yup, she remembered him from the day before and took the moment to check in with him. All the staff were very conscientious. Without a hesitation, we'll be back. We might even plan an extra trip just to stay there!
