Family hotel

Posted Jan 3, 2018
I stayed at GF Fanabe with my family for one night before our flight. We were given first floor rooms facing the children's play area. I appreciate we were probably given those times s we were staying for the one night but if I stayed there for longer, which I doubt, I would most definitely request high floor facing pool. the décor of the rooms is tired and outdated though the bed was comfortable Our fellow guests were extremely noisy and inconsiderate shouting from one end of the corridor to the other to each other. The parking is an issue also - there are a handful of parking spaces only at the front of the hotel and a car parking attendant who makes sure you don't drive to the parking spaces at the side and to the rear of the hotel. He does not explain who the parking spaces are for only a "NO" and shake of the head. We had to park many streets away from the hotel. Most inconvenient. I don't think I would go back to the hotel - certainly not good value for the many hundreds of euros we paid for the rooms.

Great hotel for families

Posted Jan 3, 2018
We spent 5 nights at GF Fanabe over New Year and had a great time. We’re a family of four with children aged 8 and 10. The location is brilliant in a nice part of Costa Adeje with shops close by and the beach an easy walk away. The hotel is really well run with nice pools, good food and fun entertainment. Shuttle buses to the water parks go from just around the corner - all in all it was a great base for a relaxing few days in the sun.

Nice hotel walking distance from beach

Posted Dec 16, 2017
Good stay, gave us free upgrade! Just not for young people depending when you go. Could have had better price for lunch and dinner as it was really expensive. Room was clean and good service overall. Felt the hotel could do with a bit of modernisation in the dinning area. But for the cost it was good. Bring your own shampoos and hand washes as the soap they provide was never coming off,

Overrated priced worn off hotel

Posted Nov 26, 2017
The room was small and not child friendly as it had many steps inside the room. The plaster from walls were coming off. We saw cockroaches. Definatly not 4 star hotel. The tea and coffee facilities are not provided in the room which was Unexpected. Overall will go back or recommend this hotel to anyone. Location was only the plus point.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your time spent reviewing our hotel. We are sorry your stay did not meet your expectations. When it comes to our rooms, we also have rooms with no steps; we are sorry you did not advise us during your stay, we would have been happy to offer you a room change. It is true that we do not provide coffee or tea making facilities in the rooms, however, we take note of your comment as a suggestion for future improvements. Thank you once again for your feedback. Main pool area very shaded. Area around is very hilly. Although some areas have been upgraded its still pretty basic.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments. At GF FAÑABE we offer 5 different pools. During the Winter season one side of the main pool area can be shady, however, we have two pools on the roof and a large solarium which gets the sun from the morning to sunset. Two other pools are available on the ground floor which have sun for most of the day. Kind regards

Nicely located hotel

Posted Oct 23, 2017
Pros: Fantastic staff and cleanliness . Good location
Cons: Suggest less variety of food dishes each day so remained hotter and spread choice over stay
Location: Good quiet location. Market next door twice a week. Boat trips including whale watching. Pedalos, water parks,
Nice hotel away from any noise but still convenient for beach shops etc. 5 minute walk down to beach, restaurants, and main promanade.Large clean pools including roof pools ( which were quiet locations away from noisier main pool). Whole hotel was spotlessly clean and staff were fantastic, couldn't be faulted. Air con in room didn't seem up to job but request to have looked at was dealt with immediately. Food was very good but would have become repetative if staying longer than a week. That said unfortunately both members of party suffered stomach upsets and one was ill enough to think wouldn't make plane home. Lots of varying entertainment for young and old, and of reasonable standard. Usual pool activities by the enthusiastic entertainment team. Choice of evening entertainment for adults and young alike

Good location

Posted Oct 12, 2017 on Ebookers
Pros: The views from the roof terrace where the 2 plunge pools were was fantastic. You can see both the mountains and the sea. The location was also good
Cons: Decor in the rooms could be modernised Bathrooms also require updating
Location: 15 min walk to nearest beach Market held every Thursday and Saturday 2 mins walk from the hotel
Hotel is a little dated but has all the amenities you would hope for. Room décor is also a little dated but again had everything I would hope for. Shower over bath leaked over bathroom floor. We didn't complain as this was a minor thing in our opinion. The walk from the beach back up to the hotel is up a steep hill which we really didn't mind but if you're a family with young children and a buggy then this would be hard. Breakfast options were good although the coffee and juice from the machines isn't good at all. We chose to pay for a coffee down by the beach instead.
