"Luxury Hotel with a sea view"
The hotel was of a high standard with excellent safe underground car parking. Our deluxe room was of a good size with the very best bed mattress ever; YOU WILL SLEEP WELL. However, the balcony view was disappointing looking over the next hotel and a pedestrian walkway. The lift was also out of order so we had to carry luggage on the stairs; not good if you are over 60! The position of the hotel was excellent with sea views from the terraces and well managed tropical gardens and outdoor swimming pools. However, during our 3 nights stay there was some noise from drilling and digging within the gardens, which during the day was very disturbing. The breakfast was a scene from a Broadway food mall with great choice, however wherever i go in Tenerife they cannot make good porridge! Also a tad expensive at the bar. Restaurants nearby are reasonably priced (recommend Jade Stone) and the sea edge path is a pleasant walk in both directions to El Duque and La Caletta.

Pocket Guide: Tenerife Costa Adeje Starwood Hotels

The northern extension of Playa de las Americas, Costa Adeje’s main attraction is the Puerto Colón marina from where there are numerous boat excursions and water sports. Nightlife is quiet and the resort’s championship golf course is one of the best in the Canary Islands. Just inland is the relatively unspoiled village of Adeje and, near here, the Barranco del Infierno (Hell’s Gorge), a picturesque lush ravine, very popular with walkers.
