Not sure why this is 4 star and not 3 star... Everything was fine but very average. No extras, food was adequate, not great, staff are nice but don't exactly go the extra mile. It was all fine but I'd probably try a different 4 star next time.

We stayed in March which is obviously offseason. Not even third of hotels on Riviera are open. Credits to AQUA Hotels for being open. Our stay was pleasant. Room on the 4th floor was nice and had a balcony facing beach sideways. I imagine during months of July-August with all nearby hotels open - area gets busy. Not sure this would be my first choice during summer months. I guess it would depend on rate competitiveness. If you hate paying 8 Euros per day for hotel parking, you can park for free on the street between hotel and beach. We did not use train, but station near hotel makes it really easy to visit surrounding area (including Barcelona). Breakfast in hotel was very good. Did not have a chance to see any "entertainment program" in hotel. Star time of 22:00 (10 PM) is quite ridiculous in my opinion. And if I may suggest to management of hotel to somehow regulates noise in the pool area, after midnight. People hanging around have no awareness or sense that guests in rooms are sleeping.

Another excellent visit
This is a lovely hotel. It is very clean with great facilities. The staff are most helpful and the entertainment is excellent. The rooms are very comfortable and the food excellent with a huge choice at every meal. We always choose to stay here when visiting the area because we consider it to be the best in Santa Susanna.

After a very active holidays in France in August we were looking for a short, lazy break in October. Hotel Aqua Onabrava & Spa was a perfect choice - we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very clean, pools area very tidy, rooms spacious and quite modern, all staff friendly and helpful. Food was very good. For the 5 days we stayed - we had breakfast, lunch and dinner - every day good selection of food and desserts. Kids really enjoyed the pick and mix sweets after meals. Me and my husband went to SPA twice over our stay and had a really nice relaxing time there, SPA wasn't overcrowded which was a big bonus. We really liked the location - beach is 5 minutes walk and its also very very clean, water amazingly clear. Over all - a great holiday in the great hotel 😊

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Despite the language barrier, staff at the buffet were very helpful re our daughter's allergy. Poolside activities were fun. Great hotel for families, as there were lots of cute babies and toddlers running around.

Amazing stay. Great food. We were in Barcelona for a tournament (U-12) and were playing games around Santa Susanna, Arenys de Munt and Lloret de Mar... Excellent hotel, excellent service especially from the lady at the front Rafaelle... Buffet was always full with a variety of different food everyday.

Quite good but some little bits not so
It was alright the hotel was very clean, modern and food decent and well presented with plenty to choose from. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Only things it fell down on are the fact the hotel was mostly Russians it didn’t really suggest who the majority of hotel was booked by but it is mostly Russian. Also the surrounding area in Santa Susana is very unclean, dirty beaches, litter and generally not very nice place although they said people were friendly enough and no problems at all. Lots of construction work going on which is actually good to see as atleast they are trying. I can imagine a lot of it is much better in summer months. Good easy rail link info Barcelona and I was visit g formula one pre season testing so got train to Barcelona then another at el clot to Montmelo which took about 1:30 and trains rub regularly back and easy to purchase.

Staff weren’t very happy - when we would smile we were greeted with a straight face. We had a room next to the elevator (room 110). It was quite noisy. Some sort of red substance came out of the shower head on the first use. The room was very humid and we would wake up with condensation on the windows. The gym was very old - no one cleaned the equipment, there was rust on the barbells. The spa wasn’t very hygienic - there was lots of skin like residue in the steam room. I don’t understand why you charge for the spa and gym - especially when it isn’t very good. The food didn’t accommodate those who were vegetarian, vegan or only ate halal or kosher. Pretty much the same menus every day. There was a man in the kitchen who was very nice and he made us a vegetarian pizza - by far the nicest member of staff. There was no coffee maker in the rooms - nothing in the mini fridge. We previously stayed at the Summus Hotel and Spa in Pineda Del La Mer - it was much better in my honest opinion.

We asked for shuttle to airport which they said they did not have then they gave us directions to and intenary for bus but we got their there was no bus and then they told us take train by the time the explained this to us the train departed we had to pay 150euros extra for no fault of our own this is ridiculous

Another fantastic break at the Onabrava Hotel
We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and rate it very highly. The rooms are large, very clean and well equipped. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. There is plenty to see and do in the local area. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in This part of the Costa Brava.

Had a problem with our room location but it was sorted out quickly and we were moved to another room which had excellent views. Lovely hotel, reception staff very helpful. People rushing to put their towels on sun-loungers at 8am was a bit ridiculous. Some of those sun-loungers had towels on all day without anyone using them. Enjoyed our stay.

Close to shops ,beach, station to get a train to Barcelona. Food was great, many choices. Went half board and not even water was included with the evening meal. So ended up spending lots of money to buy drinks to go with the meals. Room was above the entertainment area and was very loud up to 12 am. Asked to be moved but they had no rooms available. Check in is a long confusing process with Katy. Asking for Expedia voucher (?), taking a long time to scan all passports including children’s. Asked for a double and two singles - unavailable, asked to be on the same floor level as family - unavailable. Also ended up in what it seems like a noisiest room. Also overcharged for City tax charging for one child also.. Spa charges for spa ,towel and swimming hat .. becomes a pricy venture.. Overall a nice hotel though...

Staff were really helpful in all areas of the hotel. Water is available at the reception for the room. Mini market just near the pool for snacks and a few shopping stalls. 2min walk to Santa Susanna train station (1hr journey straight into Barcelona) 2min walk to the beach 🏖. 30min walk into Santa Susanna town centre. - small quiet town, nice little walk. Great Spa facilities onsite of the hotel with a gym, 8Euros a day. Sauna, steam room , jacuzzi and hot pool available.

Location was excellent, staff extremely helpful, rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. Breakfast had plenty of choices. My only complaint was having to pay for the indoor pool, if you were using the spa facilities for a few hours then eight euros each was a good price but I only wished to use the indoor pool for a quick swim every day, so I didn’t use it at all - my choice but I was disappointed as I wasn’t aware you had to pay. Small gripe in an otherwise good stay.

Loved my stay at Onabrava :)
Excellent stay, exceded my expectations !! Hotel staff extremely helpful, friendly and really great in all ways possible. Easy to catch a train ride or bus, only a few minutes walk from the hotel and the beaces are right there across the street. Food in hotel good with plenty to choose from. Highly reccomend !!!

Overall was ok. Hotel has a parking with 6 Euros fee for full day, I thought that the spa access would be included but wasn’t it was extra 8 Euros. We got upgraded which was nice. I like the open bathroom design very modern but walls were slim and could hear neighbors. The restaurant waiters were not very nice but the dinner buffet was great.

It was a good hotel, nice stuff and a good clean room and very very delicious food!!!!. Recommend to book Premium because rooms having a different remodeling. Standard room looked more disappointed. Also, the only thing that I would like to mention is charge for water during lunch and dinner time. Cost of water is 2 euro per a small bottle, less that quarter. So, that charge for water was weird and very high and hotel doesnt not mention this aspect while you are booking full board services. We booked full board services for food and it was a big surprise that we should pay for water.

Great hotel. Family friendly
Perfect for a family holiday. The hotel, facilities, food were outstanding. Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is close to the train station from which you can explore neighbouring seaside towns (Blanes is worth a visit) or a day trip to Barcelona
