"The location of the property is outstanding. The views of the historical city of Port and Douro River are mesmerizing and unforgettable, day or night. The service is impecable from the moment you enter the property, front desk personnel and very knowledgeable concierge staff. Young, pleasant and helpful staff all the way around. Our room, in the higher priced area of the hotel, is well appointed but dated in decor. Had to ask for a change of mattress and pillow top as it was lumpy on first night. it was changed for the better....That said, the room size was ample and so was the bathroom. Nice robes, slippers and lovely toiletries. Tired bathroom appliances (ie toilet seat, basin counters..BUT good shower, good water pressure). Impecable and very nice accommodating housekeeping staff. Turn down service as expected. To compete with a Four Season property, the rooms needs to be updated. The SPA was amazing. Great masseuses! top notch SPA facility. Indoor pool with amazing views of the city of Porto and Douro river. I would stay again at The Yeatman. I am hoping though the mattresses are updated at the very least. The Staff made up for the lacks described above.

"I loved this hotel although on first impression you may think its too far away from Porto and doesnt look very attractive from the outside its really whats inside that counts.
The breakfast was amazing inc GLUTEN FREE corner with cornflakes & croissants 🙌🙌
The shower in the room had great pressure, an Iron that actually was better than the one at home, a fridge, Great Wifi.
Room service, Housekeeping all 1st class and the jewel in the crown was Patricia in the spa!! Best massage yet. Its the staff that make this hotel. Dont worry about location UBER is 2 minutes away and this hotel will save you hundreds of pounds compared to porto old town. Great break away"

"Located just outside Espinho, but around a 2km walk along the broadwalk, which you can access at the rear of the hotel. Or a little bit more than 2km if you go via the main road, but with wide sidewalks. Uber here is the cheapest I’ve seen so around £5. The beach outside the hotel is rocky, but another 5 min walk to the left, you can find a sandy area.
We arrived early and was allowed to make use of the facilities until our room was ready at 4pm.
The staff were top notch and made us feel very welcome.
The breakfast was included and had a great selection.
The room was a good size and cleaned everyday.
This hotel is across from a Lidl supermarket incase you need to grab anything.
I’ll also like to mention there are 2 saltwater pools but for indoor one, please pack your swim cap. There are plenty of chairs available indoor and outdoors.
There is a hotel shuttle that takes you into Porto at 10am each morning if you want to go do some historical and wine tasting tours. If you are into casinos Espinho also has a casino.
I would definitely stay here again!
