Dear Ervin, Thank you for your feedback. Courtyard hotels have a Bistro in the lobby with wonderful, healthy food options for both breakfast and dinner. We do hold a security deposit for all of our guests, as most hotels do, to ensure the integrity of the hotel and safety for all guests. This is also why we charge for parking and have security monitoring the parking lot. Thanks again for your comments.

Noise

Posted Sep 5, 2017
People running up and down the hallways, very loud kids out at the pool till about 12 at night. The room was musty. All in all it's a older hotel not as nice as in the pictures.

Pros: Convenience location, comfortable bed.
Cons: See above.
Location: Highways to other cities in the vicinity. Restaurants.
The hotel is in a convenient location to highways and shops. However, it is located right next to a industrial park and there was noise throughout the week days. The hotel Facilities crew was uprooting a bunch of bushes with his truck and chain without placing cones to block off the work area, which is where all the parking slots on that side. As he lurched forward to uproot the bushes, there was concern that he might hit several guest parked cars nearby. Several hotel guests made us feel uncomfortable and slightly unsafe due to their loitering around the parking lot for hours smoking and playing football, which might hit someone's car windows. We had to move our car to another part of the building. It seemed that the hotel staff does not really monitor things around all parking lots surrounding the hotel and their clientele did not display adequate consideration for others.

Thank you for letting us know about the landscaping company. I have spoken with the owner of that company to ensure this doesn't occur going forward.

Great place to stay

Pleasurable experience staying at this hotel. Don't let Santa Ana throw you off, this facility is in a slightly industrial area, but close to many fun activities. Uber distance from South Coast Plaza and local beaches. Great food spots to enjoy through out the areal and the breakfast at the hotel is actually pretty good. It's worth a stay!

Robin, I see that you are very passionate about your experience. Your comments do not properly portray our hotel, as you can see by other comments from other users. You clearly had an unusual experience that should be addressed by the hotel directly. We welcome your phone call to discuss what happened that marred your stay with us.

Decent hotel

Clean large room, staff were welcoming. Breakfast the next day was good. Plenty of places locally to eat or get supplies. Could do with dropping the $10 parking charge though.

The only bad thing was that it wasn't walking distance to anything good and no complimentary breakfast. Other than that it was awesome!!

Roach hotel

Posted May 25, 2017 on Hotels
We always stay at courtyards and have never experienced what we did at this hotel. I thought this hotel would be perfect because it was very close to the park my daughter's soccer tournaments were being held. I booked for myself, my husband & my daughter, so we booked a room with 1 bed and a sofa bed. However, at night when we were unfolding the sofa bed we found a dead roach right on the sofa bed mattress. It was so disgusting that I could not leto my daughter sleep on it. My 10 year old daughter ended up having to squeeze in wits my husband and I. The whole night was uncomfortable thinking how many other roaches were crawling around. I made a complaint, but the manager was unavailable and they said he would call me regarding the issue. It's been 4 days and I have yet to hear from anyone. Another issue was the bar/lounge. There was one girl serving alone on a Saturday night. The lounge/bar was full and she seemed overwhelmed. While my daughter swam, I went in to get drinks. It took her about 40 minutes to brings the drinks for us. I felt so bad for this girls. They were definitely short staffed.

Dear Anonymous, I'm so sorry for the experience you encountered at the hotel. I'm sure you are aware that when Ecolab came out to the property they found no evidence of any pests in the room, or adjacent rooms. Whatever you had in there was clearly gone the next morning and there has been no reoccurrence. I'm sorry your experience was not good for you. There are occasions where we run into short staffing issues, however, those are isolated incidents and not the norm. I hope you will give us another chance in the future.

I was very pleased with this hotel. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, the staff are so friendly, and the Lobby has a cool modern design and includes a small cafe. I was very impressed with the sound proofing of our room. We were right off a busy street but didn't hear a thing thanks to the double balcony doors. It was an easy, quick drive to Newport Beach.
