Pros: Helpful & friendly staff, location, cleanliness, value. Free parking very nearby.
Cons: Would have been nice to have tea & coffee facilities in the room
Location: right in the town centre close to the shops, Saturday market, restaurants and wine tasting. We booked a vineyard tour too.

Well located hotel in Beaune

Reasonable but not upmarket hotel in Beaune. It needed some sprucing up but was quite close to the town centre which is its biggest draw card.

Good price, great location.

I often stay overnight in Beaune to break the journey to the South of France. The Athanor is in a great town centre location, close to all the shops, bars and restaurants. No frills, but good value for money.

Wonderful location in the heart of Beaune.

Posted Sep 26, 2015
Pros: We enjoyed the excellent location and the historic architecture. The breakfasts were well worth the cost.
Cons: Parts of the hotel are a little worn and small items need repare such as electrical outlets. Everything functioned and we felt comfortable.
Location: The hotel was centrally located and a short walk from the Hostel Dieu museum and across from a beautiful church. Shops and restaurants also nearby.
The building is charming and the breakfasts delicious and generous. The hotel is part of the medieval history of Beaune. We found the town delightful and had some of the best food and wine during our trip (which included Paris). The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. The building is not perfect but the room was very comfortable, clean, and cozy. We would stay there again.

Great location in city center

Pros: Location
Cons: Room size
Location: Right in the city center
Solid hotel with a nice and helpful staff. It is good for the rate you pay and you are right in the heart of the city center.

tiny and cramped but ideal location

Posted Jun 11, 2015
As per the title of the review, this hotel is ideally located right near the town's cathedral and the beginning of the restaurant and bar venues. While the reception was very welcoming, the room we had for two was tiny. No air-conditioning, of course. So, if you don't mind bumping into your roommate and having the sliding barn-door divider as your bathroom privacy, it's more than fine. Petit dejeuner was fine enough as well.
