Hotel in good location in Beaune

Posted Jul 20, 2016
Pros: The staff was attentive. The hotel had a character to it; old and authentic. The roses in the entrance area were beautiful. Outdoor patio is pleasant.
Cons: The room we had was large, but the toilet was not in the shower/sink room.
Location: The hotel is at the entrance of the "downtown." It isn't within the wall of the city, but you only cross one street and you are there!
The hotel is located just outside the entrance to the business district. We walked everywhere in the town from the hotel, though we really strolled! Beaune is a great city, lots of stores, restaurants, and 2 markets a week. The Saturday market is the large one. You can easily walk every where through town. Visit the mustard factory, wine cellars and various wine tastings. A bakery was just across the street where we purchased baked goods, and a cafe where we had breakfast was right down the street. Free parking across the street. We rented a car and drove to various vineyards and went wine tasting in the area. The restaurant in the hotel was fantastic! The waiters were attentive and we relaxed as we ate several meals there during our week stay. The hotel seems better for adults, as we didn't see any children's playground there. The hotel is old, but well-maintained. No fast-paced life here, so don't be in a hurry! We arrived from Paris via train, walking from the station to the hotel. I suggest calling the hotel or one of the 2 taxis in town for a ride. That is the only thing I would change about the trip! We asked the restaurant if they had clafoutis on the menu one night. They didn't, but said that they would make it for us. Delicious!

Senast i januari 2016. Vi är mycket mycket nöjda. Fantastisk mat Otroliga viner.

A decent hotel, classique style and clean. But needs renovation. Extremely kind staff. Good location.

Hotel mit Charme und Charakter, kleinen Schwaechen

Posted Feb 19, 2016 on Hotels
