“The room was beautiful, but a lot of the furniture had some pretty gross stains on them. One of the lampshades was ripped and it was clear on one of the walls that coffee had been spelt all over it, but never cleaned up. The hallways were clean, but very loud. When children would run up and down or cry and echoed into my room that was really disappointing. I would’ve given it as a higher rating if those things weren’t in place I’ve stayed at many La Quinta hotels and have not been disappointed……

“The Drury Plaza in downtown St. Paul far exceeded my expectations—the space was modern and clean, the rooms were spacious and a fantastic value, and there were snacks provided in the evening and a substantial breakfast offered in the morning. The only quibble I had was the bathroom door—a "barn door" style that didn't latch, you just slid it over the doorway, I thought that was odd. But a small issue, everything else was excellent and I would highly recommend staying at the Drury when you are in……
