Upon walking to the hotel's front door, trash was spewed all over the front area. It looked like they were having some construction or landscaping done and the mess might have been the contractor's. But, as a business owner, you require crews to clean up at the end of each day. As a contractor, I know the importance of keeping a job site clean, especially a commercial property.
As for the hotel interior cleanliness, it was meh. Carpets in the halls don't look like they've been cleaned (carpet cleaner) in a long time.
In our room, light switches, faucets, etc were all connected backward (down was on, towards the mirror was on for the faucet as well as hot and cold water being connected on the wrong side). The A/C barely got cold at all even though we set it at the lowest setting. It was not a comfortable sleep with it being 100 degrees outside.
Now to the worst part... My two young sons were so excited about getting into the pool and hot tub after a long day of adventures in Omaha. Well, as soon as we walked into the pool area, the hot tub water looked like all the contractors working out front, decided to take a bath in there. The water was so dirty, you couldn't even see the stripes painted on the steps. Yet, people were still using it. Someone from the front desk came in a couple times over the 45 minutes my sons were swimming and didn't close it off. They ended up closing the hot tub the next morning though.
The state of the hotel is reflective of poor management.
