Was overall goodPosted Oct 18, 2015
Hotel was fine - not fancy but clean, staff was nice and pool was a great end to a busy day - my only complaint is that we did not know the area and wasn't sure if the places uptown were casual enough to go to dine and kid friendly - maybe a informative dining directory would be helpful. We will stay again if we are in the area.

Be careful on charges when checking out.Posted Oct 13, 2015
Pros: Staff very friendly
Cons: be careful at charging properly, and train staff to handle issues with overcharging
The staff was nice and the rooms were great. My only problem is that I got charged and extra night for both rooms that I booked. When checking out, I was told the manager had to take care of it. I sent an email, and I called the following day (today) and yet have not had my issue resolved. Hope to get the issue resolved tomorrow!

Dirty and not updated roomsPosted Oct 6, 2015
Pros: The staff was nice and it was in a very convenient location.
Cons: Better housekeeping is definitely needed.
Location: Convenient location, close to the arena, downtown, and Old Market district.
Bedclothes were dirty - blood or dirt stain on comforter and makeup on a pillowcase. I asked for new bedclothes, received blankets with cigarette burns. This was a non smoking room. CRT tv, no usb ports for phones and tablets in wall outlets. This hotel is in need of an upgrade!

A place to stay close to the Century Link CenterPosted Oct 6, 2015
Pros: The staff was excellent! The rooms were nice.
Cons: I did have a little trouble locating the hotel from the road. Not sure how much that is due to me or if you need a bigger sign on Abbott Rd.
Location: The hotel is located near Eppley Air Field in Omaha which made it easy to get to the Century Link Center so I could see Elton John in concert.
When I arrived Saturday afternoon the desk clerk was polite and cheerful. I told her I was hoping I found the right hotel and she said no problem we can check and there I was. I asked her for directions to Century Link she wrote them on the back of a card which was excellent. Later after a shift change the new desk clerk helped me with some change for a $5.00 dollar bill because the vending machine didn't like the three I had. Sunday morning's clerk was cheerful and asked if I had any problems in the room. I told her the light by the tv didn't work. She thanked me for telling her and check out was very smooth. I really enjoyed my stay and was very happy with the staff. This was only the second time I had ever stayed in a hotel room by myself and they made me feel very comfortable.

Clean rooms close to the airportPosted Sep 23, 2015
The rooms here are large and spacious, and the hot tub makes for a very relaxing stay. Breakfast and an airport shuttle are free, so plenty of amenities here. Cons? The towels were a far cry from soft, and the TV didn't work.

Super 8 in Carter Lake is YOUR hotel!Posted Aug 24, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed 6 nights at the Super 8 in Carter Lake. It was fantastic! The owner is there a lot, and you can tell he takes great pride in his establishment. That pride trickles down to everyone--the maintenance guy, the desk clerks, the maids. Everyone who works there is overly nice and super helpful. We were in Omaha to visit my sister, but my Mom is in a wheelchair and it's very difficult to visit my sister's house because of the 13 staircases in it. We definitely went to my sister's each evening for dinner, but, on most days, my sister and her kids came to the hotel to visit us. The kids went swimming. We had picnic lunches every day. Sometimes on the picnic table outside, sometimes in my room, and once, we even had it in the breakfast area! There was nothing they wouldn't help you with if they could! I encourage you to think carefully about staying at this particular Super 8. If you need to be close to the airport, or downtown, or North Omaha, this is the place for you!

Our Family TripPosted Aug 17, 2015 on Hotels
Our stay was really great. Hotel is exactly how it looks in the pictures. We had a view of the pond out back. The room was extremely clean, loved the bedspreads (adorable). Most of the staff was really helpful, energetic and friendly. And the breakfast was so yummy! Fresh waffles, cereal, yogurts, fruit and toast. Couldn't ask for better! I only have a couple things that would have made our stay better. The tv in my room is an older one and there is a spot on it that is discolored. The pool area is clean it does have a strong smell of chlorine but we opened the door to let some fresh air in. But the tile around the pool is extremely slippery! Might be a good idea to get a squeegy for the tile and have someone go in every so often... And one thing I know isn't the Hotels fault. Even tho there are some places that deliver, (god fathers pizza was delicious!) But maybe a McDonalds or a Burger King would be nice. Over all this Hotel was great! We would stay there agian. Thank You forhelping to make our family trip great!!!!!!!!

Excellent option for an airport hotelPosted Aug 14, 2015 on Hotels
They were a little slow getting us checked in (especially for a prepay), but the hotel was just what we needed--clean beds, quick (and early) breakfast, and convenient location. They recommended a private company for airport parking, but I just used the airport's south lot long term parking, which I found to be very convenient and inexpensive.
