staff was nice!!

Didn't like my room. It had a musty smell. Street light shined in my eyes at night. Curtains were the type that did not close. Bathroom was very clean! You can tell it's an old hotel. Was having trouble getting my luggage up the stairs. A wonderful housekeeper took my heaviest luggage up to my room for me and showed me a short cut between my room and parking garage. A little pricey for the small room and no elevator.

This hotel is very close to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. I had a very good weekend staying there.

We try to choose beds that are suitable for the largest percentage of our guests, but not matter what we choose it does not work for everyone. A good experience

When we checked in manager Andrew was determined to find a room that met our needs for our 4 night stay. That extra effort was much appreciated. While far from new, our room was extremely comfortable with good beds.

Decent hotel - overpriced

Cons: Cleaner rooms, better room location for a couple staying by themselves and trying to have a peaceful night of sleep
Location: The plaza is within walking distance. Bar Trio is great for happy hour.
Hotel staff was pleasant and greeted us well. The hotel is older and is not updated. There were long strands of hair under the bathub mat when I placed it into the tub and on the walls of the bathtub. I'm a clean freak and am very disturbed by other people's hair, so this definitely grossed me out and I refused to shower during our stay. Our room was on the end of a hallway near a staircase ( and I was certain that the hotel wasn't full that night ) so we were woken up multiple times throughout the night by people yelling in the hallways at 2/3:00 AM. The location of this hotel is good and the lobby/entryway is updated, but the rooms are not and unfortunately our room was not quiet.

Elsey, Please accept our apology for the condition of your room. This is completely unacceptable and most definitely not up to our standards. We have recently refurnished all of the guestrooms in the entire tower but still have some remaining by the courtyard. Thank you for bringing this to our attention so that we can make sure it doesn't happen in the future.

Anthony, It is true that we are not the newest or fanciest hotel in the area. Our building has been here for a long time. The hotel is however well kept and very clean. Loved it!!

It was an excellent hotel and location for the price. We overlooked the Cointru Club Plaza from our room. We even walked there and enjoyed a meal and the shops. Loved it!!
