Newly remodeled hotel near Plaza

Pros: location and clean nice rooms
Cons: my only complaint would be a negative comment made at check-in towards the president. Not really interested in hearing a persons political view
Location: Right across from the plaza. Easy walk. Plenty of restaurants and shopping
Easy check-in, parking attendants friendly. The hotel is newly remodeled so everything was clean and nice. Rooms good sized.

Plaza Lighting and Friday Shooping

Perfectly located and very clean. We just wish there was an indoor pool/spa for the kids.

stayed here in Nov. 2017 amazingly clean hotel, felt brand new, staff was exceptional and patient. I slept like a baby! a experience to relive!!! Thank you marriott!

Nice hotel close to the plaza

Our room was next to the elevator and we could hear it ALL night long!!!

We enjoyed ourselves! The staff was friendly. The rooms were very clean and the restaurants were good.

With the high road rates, was shocked that was charged an additional parking fee.

Nice Hotel lots of dining options

It was a Marriott so they are always nice. Great friendly staff and a shuttle to take you to the many dining options minutes away

nice quiet motel

The motel was very busy and parking was crowded. The room was very quiet, clean, and comfortable though. It's a bit of a walk to the plaza, but there is free transportation. I would definitely recommend this motel.

Not what they said

Room was tiny and not what we had reserved. Reserved a king bed with a sofa but got a tiny room with a queen.

DO NOT STAY HERE

Cons: Giving us a room when we book it a week ahead of time.
I got married and had a room reserved here on my wedding night. At 11:00PM my wife (still in wedding dress) & I go to check in to our room and they tell us we don't have a room because of "flooding". They offer to give us a room in Overland Park, 30 minutes away. Not 5 minutes after leaving the hotel I got an email saying that the room was cancelled due to "overbooking". This was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel in my entire life, not to mention nearly ruining my wedding day as my wife and I traveled back to Lee's Summit where we are from and stayed in a 2 star hotel as a result of this horrible situation. I will never go back to any Marriot hotel ever again.
