Nightmare: travelers beware!!!!!

I was booked to stay at the America's Best Value hotel. When I get there I was told by a woman thru skype that the hotel was overbooked by expedia and they were going to send me to another hotel. I was sent to the Compare Inn.
that hotel was a nightmare there was nothing in my room but 2 beds. No soap, towels, washcloths, coffee, ice bucket, nothing. I called expedia, and the woman at the hotel about the conditions and was told to talk to the manager the next day because the woman didn't have the authority to discount my room.
The next morning I went to the front desk to turn in my key and talk to the manager to discuss my discount and was told I didn't owe anything. I told her I hadn't paid for anything yet. She then looked for me on the log and there wasn't even a record of me staying there. The woman then asked for my card, I asked what she was going to charge me for the rooms and she wouldn't tell me, she just repeated for me to hand her my credit card or she would call the law because I was refusing to pay. I told her I wasn't refusing to pay or I would have already left but that I wasn't giving her my card without knowing how much was going to be put on it. She called the police. I asked to talk to the owner since there was no manager, she gave me a #. I asked my wife to call that # while I talked to the law. When my wife started dialing the # it came out that the # was to the front desk. The law came shook my hand and left telling her I did nothing wron
