Nice hotel, soft beds

Pros: close to highway, close to food, good beds
Cons: Turn the AC down on prebooked rooms so guests have a fresh room upon arrival.
We only stayed one night, just passing through. The hotel was clean and convenient to the highway. Lots of food places nearby, even in walking distances. The kids enjoyed the pool, though it could have used some skimming. Crepe myrtle flowers were all over the top of the water. The beds were SUPER comfy. If you like soft mattresses this is the place for you. The only thing was the AC had not been turned down so the room was warm before we arrived and had a stale smell.

Terrible service

Of all the experiences that I have had in hotels, I have never experienced such poor service. When we arrived, my grandchildren was so excited to swim. We were told the pool was not opened for the season. Went out for the day, and returned early evening to see people in the pool. Inquired about this and a different lady said pool has been opened since the previous day. Next day, left hotel for the day, arrived back very late in the afternoon to find room was not cleaned. Inquired at the front desk, lady checked her book and told me someone noted that my room was not to be cleaned. Maintenance man went and cleaned my room as a good deed. Next day, went out and arrived back in my room to see that room was not cleaned again. Checked with front desk and was told housekeeping did not get to my room yet because they only had 2 people cleaning 30 plus rooms. I informed management that with service like this they will not have returning customers.

Please accept our deepest apologies for the miscommunication on the opening date for the pool, as well as the issues you experienced with house keeping. Since this date we now have a more detailed logbook for our front desk employees in order for them to leave notes between shifts so there are no more communication errors. We have also changed some of our house keeping staff and added a more comprehensive training program so that issues such as these are less likely to happen. If you are ever in the area again please give us an opportunity to show you our changes. Once again we sincerely apologize for your experience. Disappointed!!

Stay was great, until last night. We return to a unclean room and dirty towels. I called the front office, they said sorry you can come get some towels at the front desk. Talked to woman at front desk who assured me that the manager would talk to me in the morning!! It's been a week I AM STILL WAITING!!

Go to the Country Inn & Suites right behind them

This place is not even worth 1 star and I really wish I had read these google reviews before I booked the room. I drove 8 hrs from TN with an 8 year old child who had to use the bathroom when we finally got to our destination. When I walked in I immediately noticed the room was way smaller than it looked in pictures. The carpet was visibly dirty and the comforters were visibly stained. I was in the room all of 5 minutes before I decided to leave and another 5 booking another room. So altogether, I was in the room 10 minutes but got charged for an entire night totaling $81.18 because the owner says the toilet and a bar of soap was used and anyone can do anything during the time frame I was in the room. She also tried to tell me that I was in the room for 20 minutes not taking into consideration the fact that it took the lady at the front desk 10 minutes to even get to and from the room to turn in a false report of what had been done in the room. This lady had to put her shoes on( how professional is that) before she even walked to the room I was in. The owner was just as unprofessional as the lady that checked me in and out by saying anyone can do anything in that time. Unlike how some of the other guests appeared I am not some drug addict that needed a place to stay that night, I am a hard working mother that wanted to take her kid on vacation so just what did she think we were doing in that room?

We apologize for the inconvenience. We have policies in place so that the hotel does not get taken advantage of but I am very sorry that this happened to you. We would have switched the rooms for you because sometimes housekeepers miss items that need to be changed out or discarded. Again sorry for your experience and I will make sure something like this doesnt happen again.

There is something I find fun staying at Motel 8 I always know the person who's behind the counter now since we're up to our fifth time we normally get our saying room every time we have found it is never very overcrowded the breakfast is very friendly it is walking distance into some of the places we like to go or drive to we are learning that even think get the other guests are beginning to know as the desk clerk can call me by name that is very rare any place you go it is a great place to stay the room is always very comfortable and very clean no problems maybe just one we are staying in the handicap room where I'm not a fan of the ironing board because it is an ironing board you may put on a dead or at the edge of the bed so I can easily solve that problem by going up and asked the desk clerk for a regular ironing board so that is an easy one but overall I would give this motel and the people who keep it up all the thumbs and all the good things it would be a 10 plus for sure

We also provide an excellent continental breakfast which includes hot waffles, bagels, donuts, muffins, cereals, hot coffee, as well as orange and apple juice. We are conveniently located with in walking distance of many of Covington’s finest restaurants, as well as shopping centers. As per the ironing board please, next time you are here, notify the front desk and we will be more than glad to make it more convenient for you. Both beds were very lumpy, squeezed at every rollover waking partner, coffee pot did not work. Friend duplicated this in another room about beds

Because this issue was brought to my attention we have made repairs to our refrigerators. We have also changed pest control companies to make sure that there are no insects in any of our rooms.
