Beautiful resort, terrible service and food
Posted Apr 6, 2017
The resort is beautiful. This is first resort I have been to where breakfast is located in a closed dining room with no windows! All of the other resorts I have stayed at had the buffet on a main level with indoor seating with windows, or open air and usually outdoor dining. The service is slim to none, seems like they are under staffed. First morning waited at least 5 minutes before we were greeted and offered coffee. The breakfast buffet was ok, I think they had a deal on mini hot dogs, they were out every morning for breakfast, occasionally there would be bacon either half raw or so well done you couldn't chew it. One morning there was actually sausage. The egg lady was the best, friendly and very fast cooking eggs. Lot of breakfast entree's were leftovers from the previous nights dinner buffet. As that pretty much followed through for lunch also every day. The Mexican restaurant was disappointing, I ordered a stuffed polbano pepper, which came in a soup bowl, a clump of cheese, with a tiny strip of pepper on the bottom, Chicken taco appetizer was chicken taquitos, the quesadillas were good. Rice served with dinner was plain white rice, in a Mexican restaurant??? I had chicken enchiladas that tasted like they soaked in lime juice and actually looked like tacos. my friends had the steak and fish they were good. The best meal was the Japanese restaurant, but we checked in on Monday and no reservations until Saturday our last night.
The pool swim up bar never had a bartender
