Great price for comfort

Posted Mar 10, 2017
The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. Our room is quiet, comfortable and clean. Clean is a top priority with me and this fits the bill. The breakfast is excellent, a large variety from fruits to eggs to veggie drinks. Lots of reasonable places to eat within walking distance. Highly recommend.

The best breakfast

Posted Mar 9, 2017
Pros: The location can not be beat. It is within walking distance of all of main stream Cozumel. The breakfast buffet is the best. The staff does their best
Cons: When the staff tells a guest they will look into an issue, please follow through.
This was my third visit to Casa Mexicana. Included with the stay at this hotel is a fabulous breakfast. Santa is the person who makes any special requests, such as fried eggs, omelettes, pancakes, waffles, quesadillas, etc. Andrea who is one of the service staff in the dining room is one of the most pleasant young ladies I have met. Her English is near perfect, and she tells me she learned it mostly from music and movies. I had a few issues with the room. I had to request a wash cloth on more than one occasion. The exhaust fan was not working which I believe might be a contributing factor to mold buildup in the ventilation system. By the third night in the hotel I was coughing though out the night. Over several months I called the hotel twice. To confirm the room and the amenities of robes and slippers. No slippers were provided. This may seem like a minor issue to most, but I can not tolerate stepping on a cold tile floor. I would have brought slippers had I been told (twice) slippers were provided. The front desk said they would do their best to accommodate me, but I never heard another word. I was there during Carnival, and of course the crowds were over whelming. The hotel did a great job to provide seating along the street as well as on the balcony for their customers to watch the parades. They provided appetizers during the parade, but most of the food was gone within a short time and not replenished.

Good location

Posted Feb 16, 2017
Pros: Everything but dogs
Cons: No pets.
Location: Great location for everything, shopping ,dining, ferry, tours, mega.
Enjoyed our stay very much. We had ocean view 5th floor ,can't get any better, almost right on the water. Breakfast buffet was very good large variety, fresh. Close to everything downtown. My only complaint was we heard dogs barking every evening, not very loud but most doors face the court yard and sound echoes. We would for sure stay again. the room was spotless, very large balcony, small pool but we enjoyed our balcony more. NOT a fan of dogs in a vacation hotel!

Perfect hotel for a quick stop in Cozumel!

Posted Feb 7, 2017
Pros: The bed, the location and the staff
Cons: Coffee/tea all day in the lobby
We stayed at Casa Mexicana for one night while visiting family on a cruise. The hotel is located between the two cruise ship ports and a 5 minute walk from the ferry from Playa del Carmen. The staff was super friendly for both the check-in and check-out. The hotel itself is very nice and modern, located on the second floor with a pretty (but small) pool that makes it look like you're on a cruise yourself! The best part about Casa Mexicana (other than the super comfy beds) is the breakfast. The team works very hard and everything was delicious and generous.
