This is the third time we've stayed at Flamingo in the last 12-18 months. The rooms are beautiful. The location is spectacular and the staff is amazing! We love that they remember us and we always feel like family.

We love this property! Everything.The overall construction with the roof top pool and sunset view, unique rooms (no Motel 6 here), staff (especially Oscar!), the surrounding neighborhood and bars/restaurant's, the courtyard breakfast, bar and bartender……really everything. Did l mention the staff?!!👍 The owner,Tom, lives close to us in California and is often on property which makes it feel even more like an inn than a hotel. We dive with a group that comes every year and we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else.👍👍🙂

This hotel is a secret gem!! You can see the water from The balcony! It’s adorable! Rooms are very spacious!! Oscar was incredible for breakfast!! Please leave him a tip. I didn’t have cash so I couldn’t leave him anything. You are surrounded by shops and restaurants too!! It’s super safe! I left car on street and had zero problems! I actually miss being here! Breakfast was amazing ! I had French toast and the fruit dish!! I can’t wait to go back!

I liked that it was a quaint Mexican style hotel that was very clean with fantastic breakfasts and fantastic staff (especially Oscar). My only concern was that the internet wasn't good on the roof by the pool or in the rooms (at least on the 3rd floor) but was good on the main floor.

We enjoy the location right in the heart of the city close to many great restaurants. Breakfast is very good with lots of options. Oscar was very friendly with many good ideas on activities and places to eat. Will come back!

The hotel is beautiful and very nice place, the rooms are comfortable, the staff are great very helpful and kind. The internet working well at most of the areas of the hotel, but not inside of the room, the location is good and very close to the center and short walk from the ferry, although this said of the island (north) doesn’t have beach that are comfortable for bathing, to get to other beaches you will need a taxi.

Excellent location. Nice property conditions. Quiet. Excellent breakfast, which is included. One staff member could not guide us of where to go and what to do, while the other one did. Both staff members were really nice. Could have better beach towels.

This boutique hotel is fabulous and we’d stay again for sure. Beautiful quiet rooms (even during Carnival!), the best location and great staff. Walking distance from the ferry and all the top tourist spots. It would get a 5/5 if the rooftop pool area was completed (under renos).

We were really disappointed in our stay here. Aside from during breakfast, we could not find any staff at all to answer a question after 2pm. Especially at night. The front door is left unlocked and there was no staff (we tried everything to find someone). I did not feel safe here.

We are very sorry you feel that way, but we had a two day period where two staff members were out sick which is very rare. The receptionist is in from 8 am to 4 pm and then the bartender is from 4 pm to 11 pm. We do have a nightwatchman that comes in at 10 pm

Good overall, but opportunities for improvement
We had a nice stay. The facility was comfortable and the proprietor is friendly. When booking the room, the website claimed that our room had a kitchenette, but that was not the case when we arrived. The proprietor said that they plan to add the kitchenette in the future, and the plumbing is there to do so, but they’ve not done so yet. We would’ve had breakfast there more often, but the coffee wasn’t up to our expectations, and the oatmeal was very watery, which caused us to take our breakfasts out. There are lots of nice places to eat close by, where both the coffee and oatmeal are good.

There is no elevator, which is tough with luggage. Great bar and people from other hotels that come here for the service, but the one person, Ivan, who is the glue that hold everyone together is moving in January 2024. The rooms are nice, AC works very well, but the shower water doesn't get past warm, then fluctuates to tepid. The location is fabulous with lots of restaurants around and the malecon and the central very close.

We got to our room, could not figure out the air conditioner went down to the desk woman came up and showed us that you had to leave your room key in the slot in order for the air conditioner to work, so that means when you went out for the day and came back. Your room was over 100° because they only give you one room key we never even end up staying at this hotelWe went and got another room at a different hotel.

Hello Joseph … I am sorry you feel that way but those systems are put in place for a reason … to not be wasteful and consume precious electrical energy while no one is in the room. It takes less than 5 minutes for the room to cool down upon return. We are trying to do our part at the Flamingo to be more green and cut carbon emissions.

Staff and the property itself was very good, everyone was accommodating and friendly. We came with some others that stayed in a different room and noticed some of the items in our room weren’t present in the other and vice versa. The pool on the roof was very refreshing but noticed it hadn’t been cleaned the night before we left and I was littered with bugs and and water was a little murky. But it was chlorinated so wasn’t a deal breaker. The free breakfast in the morning was very good and had quite a few menu options as well. Overall I would definitely stay here again if I needed a hotel for a good price in Cozumel.

Our flight home was cancelled so we had to find a place to stay in an emergency. So lucky we stumbled on this place. The property is in the middle of a major upgrade. The room was very clean, updated, and comfortable. Super nice bathroom and decor and everything from the lobby to the room looked brand new and recently updated. The top level with the pool was a little run down and needs some work, but you could tell that they were slowly working on that and I would guess that in a year, that will be much nicer. I understood plans for a roof-top bar are in the works! Great location. Friendly staff. Super safe and a bargain. Lots of dining and shopping all around - a half block from the ocean. We normally do large, all-inclusive resorts, but would consider staying here again in the future. Cute little bar in the main level with lots of locals hanging out in the evening.

This Room (suite) was not completed, no tv no pool, no safe, light bulbs that didn’t work construction and hammering on roof, very noisy. Once it’s done Its a Nice place with great staff.

Sweet hotel
It’s a sweet little hotel I used it because it reminded me of the old days back in the 80’s when I was going to Cozumel a lot. Ivan is aces. Really enjoyed and Carolina will bend over backwards trying to get you what you want. My room was spartan and could have benefited from some kind os seating. An easy chair would have been nice. Breakfast was good. The coffee was okay Could have used cream, as the milk seemed like it was light. Not rich enough. The mattress was super hard but they put a topper on it that helped but it was too big for the bed and that made it kinda risky but it was necessary because seriously it was like a rock the first night. It’s a little noisy because of the bar but I used a sound machine and slept well after getting the topper. The location is great but there no beach associated with it. I’d stay there again but I’d plan it better in that I’d make sure the topper fit the bed right.

It was our third time staying at the Flamingo. Everything here is exactly what we value in traveling abroad. Great location with numerous dining options all within walking distance. Breakfast was included in our package which was always delicious with many options. Staff was great, especially Ivan, Manon and Oscar, always willing to answer any questions on getting around or eating options. Our room was clean and comfy, will definitely return

I blame Expedia and the Flamingo Hotel for this, but when we arrived on May 3rd for a 5 night stay, the hotel was completely closed and under construction. Not one person contacted us to let us know. You can imagine our shock! The manager at The Flamingo did make arrangements for us to stay at another downtown hotel, but it was not as nice or convenient. I feel that someone should have notified us before hand and offered us several options. I even checked Expedia's site before leaving the US and the hotel was still being advertised. Being from out of the country and navigating this issue in a different language was a challenge, but we managed. The hotel will be beautiful when completed, but beware for now!!

Pleasantly surprised here. Great location, quiet, safe, sufficiently clean. Close to dive shops, the ferry, and town, but not *too* close. Amazing coffee shop right next door, open late.

A good stay near the ferry
Oscar at the front desk was so warm and friendly! I enjoyed talking with him. The hotel is a nice little 'mom & pop' type hotel. Tucked away on a quiet street with not many people inside or outside the hotel (at least not during my stay). The wifi worked fine for me, but I was told that fluctuates on a room by room basis. The room had good AC and a hair dryer installed on the bathroom wall. The breakfast was ok, but cheap at about $4 USD. It's great that the hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the ferry. However, the beaches you will want to see on this island are located 30km away and you will either need to rent a car/scooter or pay for a pricey taxi in both directions. The shoreline by the hotel is mostly rocks and some trees, though the water and sunsets are beautiful, and there is a lively center of town nearby.

Great stay, limited bells and whistles.
The Hotel is clean, the staff are friendly from the frond desk, manager, cleaning staff, servers, bartender, helpful, and reliable. The location is 3 blocks from the Ferry, everything is a walk away. Also the hotel is quiet, no loud parties or music in the bar area, a plus if you actually want to have a place to sleep in relative quiet (you are downtown after all). WiFi works very well. Lots of breakfast choices Drawbacks I'm a diver so i have heavy luggage, There is no elevator so carrying everything up to floor three was strenuous after a 10 hour trip. It takes about 3 minutes to get the hot water going for the shower, no big deal just something to be aware of. On one day there was an equipment failure and the hotel was without water for a few hours, having staff with bottles of water available would have been nice. Limited drawer space available.

Friendly helpful staff, rooms and property are very clean, the breakfast was very good and had a couple excellent drinks at the bar. 1 mile from the airport. The location is good.

Nice inexpensive hotel, close to the beach, ferry, and shops in Cozumel. Staff is very attentive. Specially Ivan the bartender. He is super helpful and always have good recommendations for any restaurant or service that customers may have.
