Love the grounds, the food and the staff.

Pros: Everything
Cons: My only hope would be for some better storage in the rooms, perhaps some drawers. Other than that, nothing comes to mind.
Location: On the beach with lots of things to do on site. Take a cab downtown if you want, but we love the peace and quiet. They do have great nightly shows.
My husband dives and loves the dive shop and its staff. We The food is excellent, and the staff is great. We have stayed there about five times. It is our place when we visit Cozumel.

Pros: Pleasant memories
Cons: The cultural dancing show during the Star Staff night off could be enhanced by an presenter telling the history of costumes and dances.
Location: Other than snow sports, they have anything you might want
This was my second visit and my experience even better than the first. I will look forward to coming back. The amenities, enhanced by the friendly staff are great. The nightly entertainment provided by the young actors/dancers who interact with the guests with various activities during the day is excellent. Catamarans, kayaks, paddle boards and other water toys included in the all inclusive package just enhance the experience. Meeting fellow travelers from all over the world is fun. There is lots of friendly interaction.

all roads led to the beach or lobby easily

Pros: The staff, entertainment and entertainers
Cons: The rooms. Very must and no place to put your clothes except on shelves in the closet.
Location: Didn't go out of the resort
The staff was unbelievably attentive and friendly. The entertainment was excellent and the entertainers interacted with the guests and made you feel very special. The food was adequate. Our room was very musty, but very handicap accessible. The specialty restaurants were not as good as the buffet. A very nice experience over all and we probably will return mainly because of the staff and the entertainment and entertainers. Also, it was very easy to get around the resort.

Great resort, just don't have an allergic reaction

Pros: Calm, quiet, nice beach, friendly staff, Star Friends are awesome!
Cons: Emergency Medical Procedures
Location: We went on an island jeep excursion. It was a fun time! Make sure you have a driver that can do manual shifting though
Had an absolutely amazing stay. Decent food, great drinks, fun staff, and nice entertainment :) Only issue was when my friend had an allergic reaction to the unmarked peanut sauce on the buffet. They have no procedure plan in place to deal with a medical emergency after 6pm. No first aid kit, no urgency in staff, no doctor on resort after 6 pm. Our room phone couldn't connect to the front desk so when she was in the room struggling to breathe, we had to run around trying to find help. There was no urgency within the staff because I don't think they fully understood the situation. The ambulance took 25 minutes to arrive. No epi-pen in the ambulance, and then it took 25 minutes to get back to the hospital. If the reaction had been any worse it would have been the worst night of our lives. The manager was receptive to talk to us in the morning and understood that they should work on having a better reaction to emergency medical situations. For the sake of all people with allergies and children that might not know they have one yet, I truly hope they work on it.

Everything really nice

Pros: everything
Cons: the beach is really beautiful (nice clean white sand) but if you have young kids it is not easy to go to swim as rocks.
Hotel, all persons working there, food, drink were really really nice. Each evening a really nice show, we were all impress by the quality of these performances (we never saw this quality of performance in any other family club).

beautiful resort with downfalls

Pros: The staff and overall look of the resort the jungle vibe and animals.
Cons: THE HUMIDITY. Everything in this resort was wet it was super gross, we literally watched mold multiple on the ceiling in the bathroom.
Location: There is nothing around the resort, you can take a taxi to downtown which is about 25 minutes. You can also take water taxi from downtown to mainland.
This was a great resort with LOTS of humidity issues. I first received a room that smelled like mold, after complaining about it they gave me a "remodeled" room. The bed was surprisingly comfortable however it was wet, the mattress was wet, the chair was wet, the pillows were wet, the lights would drip with water, the ceiling would drip with water and there is nothing or no where I could be transferred to that didn't have this problem. The sugar packets were wet, the toilet paper was wet, our passports were wet, I think you get the idea. It would rain every morning on the island I'm not sure if this was due to the month or if it is a constant thing. It felt like we were in the amazon or a jungle with lots of animals like flamingos, turtles, parrots, iguanas, peacocks which were all great to look at. The buffet food was okay nothing amazing The buffet was a lot smaller compared to other resorts I have stayed at like the RIU. Overall the Island was very safe to travel around and see and mingle with the locals. DO NOT BUY THE SHUTTLE service from expedia it is a major rip off. It was very safe to take taxis from anywhere and I didn't know this. Max a taxi ride form the airport to the resort was from $20 to $25 dollars. the shuttle se3rvice was $99 for 2 people roundtrip. You can save half of your money and just get a taxi which are everywhere all the time. We also rented a jeep for a day to drive around the Island. Overall a good trip, wouldn't stay here again.

As Cozumel has an average humidity of 85% which can cause a musty smell and mold, our Maintenance Department is constantly working on areas to be improved and our facilities follow a maintenance standard roll all year around. We regret that your expectations were not fulfilled at all during your recent vacation. Please be assured that your concerns have been forwarded to the corresponding departments in order to improve our services and avoid any other negative opinions. Cons: Not enough elect outlets in room. Ac to be working.
Location: Fury Catamaran was great boat for snorkel tour.
Ac not working 1st night. high humidity even when ac works, not enough sailboats for guests to use. asian restaurant really not good. Family all got stomach problems after 3 rd night. All staff very happy & helpful. and I mean all. Food in main Buffet very very good , every meal. Pool areas Great. Shows at night , better than other all inclusives.

best staff & entertainment.

The rooms do need upgrading & the beach is rocky. But the resort does have many plus qualities & I would return for another vacation. The staff is wonderful & very accommodating, they bend over backwards to assist in any way. The entertainment was the best I have seen in any of the other resorts I have visited. Every single member of the team are so talented & very warm & friendly & work so hard all day long. The food in the main buffet was was ample & satisfying & the steak house was very good. Try it, you will like it.

4 generation family Christmas!

Pros: Activities for all ages! One afternoon the kids painted t-shirts and received a beach ball for free an unexpected bonus!
Cons: The Mexican restaurant this time the music was too loud and the food was just ok, should have just gone to the buffet.
Location: We used our rental car and drove to the east side to watch the waves come in so beautiful and a very inexpensive excursion a must do!
This is the second time we have stayed at Iberostar this year. We took a total of 26 family members 4 generations consisting of 7 kids ages 1 to 7. We all had an awesome time with lots of activities for all ages. The room we stayed in this time was newly remodeled and very nice with a rain shower, dresser, and mounted TV allowing for better use of space, loved it! We really love the nightly shows, they have added more star staff and it really shows. If you cant find something to eat at the buffet you are simple too picky! That being said we did not appreciate the Mexican restaurant this time the music was too loud and the food was just ok, should have just gone to the buffet. The American restaurant is nice, but you just cant get a steak in Mexico as good as the steak in Oklahoma! (We are farmers/ ranchers and raise our own beef) My family loved all of the wild life at the resort . The staff was very helpful and friendly!!

All Inclusive & More!!!

Pros: Location of Resort to Dive spots, the rain fall shower,
Cons: More Authentic Mexican food at buffet
Location: Scuba Diving, Hiking, Scooter, Town, Bars
As soon as I arrived at this resort I was impressed. I am not a huge fan of resorts that have rooms on top of rooms. At this resort everyone is spaced out. You don't hear people when your in your room. The pool was never crowded. I saw big groups of people arriving and the staff did an amazing job of helping everyone. The staff was truly what took my breathe away. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is to your liking. The food here is awesome. They have the buffet of course. But the specialty restaurants are delicious. From Sushi, to steak, to tex Mex. The food is amazing. They do a great job as well making sure they have a full vegetarian menu. SCUBA They have a dive facility Dressel Divers. This group is what clinched the 5 star review from me. Awesome staff, friendly and extremely knowledgable. This resort has a three boat fleet. Iberostar's location is perfect for divers. Once you jump on the boat you can be at the dive spot in a matter of minutes.
