beautiful resort with downfalls

This was a great resort with LOTS of humidity issues. I first received a room that smelled like mold, after complaining about it they gave me a "remodeled" room. The bed was surprisingly comfortable however it was wet, the mattress was wet, the chair was wet, the pillows were wet, the lights would drip with water, the ceiling would drip with water and there is nothing or no where I could be transferred to that didn't have this problem. The sugar packets were wet, the toilet paper was wet, our passports were wet, I think you get the idea. It would rain every morning on the island I'm not sure if this was due to the month or if it is a constant thing. It felt like we were in the amazon or a jungle with lots of animals like flamingos, turtles, parrots, iguanas, peacocks which were all great to look at. The buffet food was okay nothing amazing The buffet was a lot smaller compared to other resorts I have stayed at like the RIU. Overall the Island was very safe to travel around and see and mingle with the locals. DO NOT BUY THE SHUTTLE service from expedia it is a major rip off. It was very safe to take taxis from anywhere and I didn't know this. Max a taxi ride form the airport to the resort was from $20 to $25 dollars. the shuttle se3rvice was $99 for 2 people roundtrip. You can save half of your money and just get a taxi which are everywhere all the time. We also rented a jeep for a day to drive around the Island. Overall a good trip, wouldn't stay here again.

We took good note of your comments about the room, some areas might smell moldy without the actual mold being present. As Cozumel has an average humidity of 85% which can cause a musty smell and mold, our Maintenance Department is constantly working on areas to be improved and our facilities follow a maintenance standard roll all year around.
We regret that your expectations were not fulfilled at all during your recent vacation. Please be assured that your concerns have been forwarded to the corresponding departments in order to improve our services and avoid any other negative opinions.
