The property, beaches, ocean water. The staff was great!!! So helpful! Amenities were fabulous! Gift Shop was great pricing was as good or even better then downtown! Had a wonderful time in the Disco!!!

Beach was nice, pool area clean. Adult pool no bar? Food below standard.

For an all inclusive the food was good. You have to pay extra for wifi.

The hotel was very nice and well kept. Beautiful nature surrounding the complex. It definitely surpassed our expectations.

I booked this place because Barcelo runs it and I THOUGHT it would be up to their standards. I was absolutely wrong! We get to out room and the Ice Machine out in the hall has an "Out of Order" sign posted on it. Another guest told us that that sign had been there all week. I called the front desk to ask where the closest Ice Machine is, they told me the next building on the 2nd floor. There are no elevators, so I walk down stairs and up stairs in the next building, there is no Ice Machine there, so I walk down stairs and up stairs in my building and call the front desk again. Now I'm told I'll have to walk all the way back up to the front desk at the front of the resort to get ice. After my raising a little bit of hell, they agreed to send room service with a bag of ice. There is a paper in the room that states: Important: Specialty restaurants are considered in your all-inclusive package according to the length of your stay in our resort. For 2 to 3 nights - 1 reservation / For 4 to 5 nights - 2 reservations / for 6 to 7 nights 3 reservations. My impression of this place is that they're offering the bare minimum and only stepping up when people complain. Barcelo should look into what's going on at this place. We wound up eating at several restaurants in Cozumel, despite having paid good money and lots of it for an "All-Inclusive" resort. The food was that bad. I was embarrassed that I booked our friends at this place. This is the worst place we've been to in Mexico.

The resort is very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and courteous. The food excellent and delicious. The only problem that i had was with the amount of smokers in the resort. Even though the hotel has a prohibited smoking in common ares, people still smoked on the beach, the pool area and the main plaza around people and small children. It sad to walk on the beach and find cigarettes on the sand from the smokers. If you want to die from throat cancer, that's your choice but don't smoke around kids and people that care about they're health. I don't think the hotel cares much about enforcing the NO SMOKING rules. My wife and i would certainly like to come back to this hotel but will consider another because of the smokers in the hotel. That's a big turn off for us..

This property is magical. Not only are the grounds, pools, and beaches absolutely gorgeous, but the rooms are spacious and well-serviced. We did have an issue that the jets in our jacuzzi tub didn't work, but honestly I didn't realize it until the last day so it didn't affect my trip at all. We stayed in the Royal Level since it gave us free Wifi and a specialty restaurant and for us it was well worth the money. RL rooms are closer to the beach and pools so it worked well for us. The staff is incredible. They went out of their way to provide excellent service. They even found the water shoes I left at the beach by mistake and were quick to get them to me when I realized them missing. We traveled for our anniversary and they made it super special with champagne and a congrats sign on our door, chocolate covered strawberries and a cake!! The food in both the buffets and a la carte restaurants was well prepared and varied and we were there for 10 days! The beach was full of sea life and there were plenty of planned activities to keep my active husband happy. But what makes this place special is the staff! Everyone was so helpful and nice. Not one bad experience the entire time. But I must mention some very special people, Jailene and Emma in the Royal Concierge, Jerson, Crisly and Erica. All of the bartenders, the staff who manned the sail boats/kayaks, the restaurant staff and entertainment staff were all top notched. I hope we are lucky enough to go back again!
