Hotel and staff were great. Didn’t like the time share attempt on our time. We took vacation to relax.

On the beach. Good snorkeling in front of hotel.

Good snorkeling right in front of hotel. Rocky beach in the water but offset by snorkeling. Food and experience at evening restaurants great. No quick food spots for lunch by pools. Overall, a great time.

Nice place not fabulous

The hotel is nice and clean and you can walk to several other hotels on the water. It is a little far from town but easy taxi ride. My only complaint was that when you ordered a drink at the pool or chips/guac it took forever to get it . At least 30 mins if not 45 and we were sitting next to the bar and it was not even crowded. Everyone was very nice but just slow. I would go back.

Nice room, comfy bed, nice sister complex

Pros: Bed was super comfy and could hear the waves at night through balcony doors.
Cons: Wait staff is slow and the hostesses are often a little rude. Many of employees spent more time on their cell phones than helping customers.
Location: We went on a jeep tour to Punta Sur. Waste of time. Would of liked to swim in the ocean more but it was too rocky.
Our room was very nice, 2nd floor facing beach. The beach was too rocky but snorkeling was good. Bring water shoes!!! Food was tasty but the buffet food was cold and so we would walk next door to Sunscape for the breakfast buffet which had a better variety and was always hot. Wait staff was a little understaffed. Drinks were delish and beach service wonderful. The nightly entertainment was lacking but after a day of sun and refreshments went to be early. Gift shop girl did not acknowledge customers and was on her phone playing games the whole time we were in shop. Too many staff using their cell phones during work time.

Not the best Secrets

So this Secrets Resort was not as beautiful or nice as the other ones we have stayed at. It did cost significantly less than the others. We got the ocean front room and the room was amazing. Had a huge balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean. No bed, lounge chair, hammock or jacuzzi on it though which made it feel like a complete waste of this huge wrap around balcony. The lesser class rooms had beds in their balconies so why did this much higher priced room not??? I don’t know but we barely used it and it would have been really nice to use it considering we could not use the lounge chairs on the beach because little red ants or sand fleas or something would climb all over you and bite you if you did. The pool was great. Outdoor jacuzzi dirty and gross! And it wasn’t hot. So that was a bummer. The water in the room was also not very hot. It rained a lot while we were there and I just felt cold the whole trip and couldn’t even get a hot shower or bath in so that sucked. We went for the area though to scuba dive and the diving in Cozumel is amazing. I’m not sure what other choices there are in Cozumel but figured going with a Secrets would be safe since their other locations we have been to have been just unbelievable resorts. If you are going for the area and not going to be at the resort a lot then it is a good choice but if you are going for the luxury of a Secrets Resort then skip this one and go to Akumal, that Secrets is five star. This one is not.

Great Adults Only Resort

Pros: The atmosphere, the night shows, the beach, rooms
Cons: Keep improving the entertainment. It was much better this year than last year though!
Location: The resort is a little further down the coast of the island so you have to take a taxi into town. a lot of excursions!
This was my second time in Secrets Aura and we really enjoy the relaxing atmosphere! My mother and I go for our annual girls trip and this year we brought some family and friends. The resort itself has been undergoing some improvements so it is on the up and up! This place is perfect if you want to relax on the beach with some adult beverages, enjoy the ocean and snorkel, go for a swim or two, do a few excursions, enjoy a day at the spa...SPA! This year the hotel was fully booked so we were upgraded to an ocean view suite, and it was amazing!!!

Dont pay extra for preferred

Room ac was stuck on 68 degrees. Took 4 maintenance people and 3 days to fix. Soap dish was broken off in shower. Dont pay the extra for the preferred, not worth it

zero quality in everything!

- Food quality is not good at all, breakfast service in both bfast restaurants is veeeeery slow. - Bed clothes madr me a rash. - not worth that i paid for what i got.
