Wrong Hotel!!!
Sent to different hotel with no notice! The place we stayed at was worth every bit of the trip. They closed our location for renovations and hotels.com didn't tell us. Our friend who picked us up at airport found out. But, The Colonial Suites was everything we wanted and close to everything!

The property was completely boarded shut when I arrived. I did not receive any advance notification. Someone on the street told me to go to another hotel around the corner. The other hotel was expecting me, but I didn't have a notice from them either.

We had to move to Suites Colonial (same hotel group) but it was a great experience. The bed was super comfortable, great water pressure and the staff was really nice. We had a great stay

Nice upgrade :)
Because this hotel was under maintenance they upgraded me to a great sister property. They notified me with plenty of time in advance. I am pretty sure Suite Bahia is nice, yet this review is based on my stay at Casa Cozumel, which is from the same group as which was excellent. The fact that the pool area overlooks the ocean is enough by itself to be happy there!

Booked suites at Bahia, but when I arrived it was closed & there was only a sign saying to call a number to a new hotel. I didn’t have a phone (SIM card didn’t work) so I was lil upset, fortunately it was only a few blocks away. Front desk people very rude, or just seemed jaded from all the tourists. Everyone working there acted as if they were doing me a favor by answering any questions I had…then laundry service charged me $15 for 1/2 load of laundry! I would not stay here if you care about hospitality or service, only if u need a safe clean place to lay your head.

We had a reservation at the Bahia but a few days before I received an email that we were now at the Casa Mexicana. We’ve been staying at the Bahia for 24 years and it’s always been good. A big part of it was the breakfast buffet which was at the Mexicana. This year though. No breakfast included!!

Great Stay, Great Value
This hotel and its sister hotel Casa Mexico are both fine places to stay for the cost conscious traveler. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The room comes with a good fresh prepared breakfast and the facility is very close to the dive piers and a good number of nice restaurants.

Hotel was shut down so it was perfect place to file away a covid person for quarantine. Dirty, rooms with leaking plumbing, super loud location, and lots of mosquitos and noseeums. Broken A/C forced a room change, and they had to turn on hot water and wifi. Staff was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole ordeal, hats of to Casa Mexicana staff and management.

Great place to stay!
Room was clean, beds were comfortable, staff was friendly and professional. The price was more than reasonable. I would totally recommend this hotel and will stay here again! We were here to dive with the Aldora shop, it was right around the block from Aldora. Also, we had an ocean views room, which was beautiful. The location is close to shopping and eating establishments.

The Suites Bahia is a comfortable, no frills property. We stayed 2 nights (Saturday & Sunday) & had a balcony room facing the Thirsty Cougar. It is no fault of the property itself but we would NEVER stay there again. On Saturday night the Thirsty Cougar has the loudest live music with a very off-key singer. It feels like the band is in the room with you! No way to sleep until it's over. Sunday night thankfully there was no live band & we were able to sleep just fine. I feel sorry for the Suites Bahia as I'm sure they have no control over this situation!

We have stayed there for many years, but the last several have been difficult because of the noise from the Thirsty Cougar bar across the street, especially when a band plays on the corner of the street. It is very loud no matter what room you are in.

Great Stay - Super Convenient
The staff at this hotel are super nice and so willing to help and accommodate their guests. This facility is within a very short walking distance to several VERY nice restaurants, as well as the dive piers and the center of town.

We were staying during the beginning of carnaval. It was right in the middle of the action. We moved to a different place in Cozumel after our stay, and 3 days later realized we had left something in the room. We went back and it was there at the front desk waiting for us! Awesome customer service!!!

Not necessarily a family hotel but we reserved knowing that. The hotel is on the main waterfront drag and surrounded by bars and restaurants. Bands play at night. If you're a "go to bed after midnight" group then this is for you. Excellent location!

After traveling for over 40 hours finally we arrive at the hotel to be told we don’t have a reservation. I showed them the email confirmation from Expedia and still the front desk girl repeatedly denied giving us a room after a long argument and her speaking with a manager they decided to send us to another hotel Casa Mexicana which also said we don’t have a reservation and after few minutes and couple of phone calls the gave us the run of house room. I’ve always used Expedia for my hotel reservations and never a problem.

The room was very clean and quiet. Some fixtures(sink) could be improved but everything worked fine. The breakfast at sister hotel was excellent. Only suggestion would be to add a comfy chair to room. There was no where to sit. After I asked for one the staff did add one. Thanks

Clean and comfortable hotel with central downtown location that offers a great buffet breakfast included with your room. You have to walk a few blocks to another hotel for the breakfast but it’s an easy walk. TV did not work but A/C and hot water did. Overall, it’s a great deal if you’re on a budget.

Great Place To Stay
It’s a very basic yet comfortable room for a very basic price. The room and facility are clean and the staff is personable and pleasant. There are many restaurants and bars within very short walking distance. It’s 100 feet from the main dive pier and a quarter mile or less from the ferry pier. Depending on which room you get there is very little street noise.

Another return trip at Suites Bahia,
Have been staying here for years very well ran hotel. Will return again. Simple but very clean with great breakfast included. Live music from across the street can be an issue but usually stops by 11 pm. Will return again.

Affordable and clean
You can't beat the location of the Bahia. It's close to all the shopping and eating places downtown. It's nice that you can have the breakfast buffet at the Casa Mexicana, their sister hotel. The room was not what I would consider as updated but it was clean. There were a couple of things that could have made it better. The hotel didn't have an ice machine so you had to buy ice or walk the block down the street and pick some up at the Casa Mexicana. Also the kitchen didn't come with towels or soap to wash your dishes with. Not that big of a deal,,but it would have been nice. The only real issue was the noise from the bar across the street. We had a balcony room that faced the side street (it did have a ocean view just not straight across the street). There was live music on Thursday - Saturday that went on till 11 - 11:30 pm. The hotel switched our room to a higher level...but it seemed that the only way to get away from the noise was to have an interior room with no balcony. Had we not been getting up early in the mornings it wouldn't have been a big deal. All in all the hotel is Okay.
