Rude, inhospitable and unsafe

Posted Aug 12, 2015
Pros: The surrounds were pretty & the cabins themselves though cold were in good condition. You don't get much choice with the breakfast but it was good
Cons: The lighting, the presence of staff, the attitude of the staff, someone to answer to phone and email...
Location: We wnet for the skiing but there is a great distillery at the beginning of the road that is definitely worth a visit with a great park for kids
No one answers the phone or replies to emails The sign is confusing No one there to greet us, wandered around in the dark for 30 minutes looking for out cabin - at 7pm. Reception phone was broken No wifi, no explanation Drying room was broken Extractor fan broken When we go there room open and freezing Safety rails fell off the bunks - lucky we had the adults up there not the kids Got told like little children to come and scrape our plates Refused simple requests like can we borrow a pair of scissors Never greet you but demand you fill in a check in form

Quiet location

Posted Apr 8, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed at this property over the Easter weekend. These chalets are located in a quiet area in Crackenback. I never got to see the manager, only the 'caretaker'. The chalet was clean and tidy. The breakfast was provided which was a good thing seeing that this property is a bit isolated. There is a BBQ, but no cooking facilities is provided.

Quiet getaway

Posted Mar 17, 2015 on Hotels
Stayed here in the summer - was a nice relaxing getaway. Located between Thredbo and Jindabyne. There is access to a main building which has board games, breakfast, tea / coffee etc. Separated from any other accommodation places, and only a 5-10 min drive from the main road.

fint ophold, forventede at kunne lave mad - at der var fælles køkken til afbenyttelse. Ellers er stedet fantastisk - rigtig god standard, smukke omgivelser og venlige indehavere!

Fantastic Alpine Retreat

Posted Oct 16, 2014 on Hotels
An amazing alpine lodge run by extremely helpful and friendly staff who live onsite. Clean comfortable room and a beautiful main lodge with fireplace, lounge, dining area, and kitchen. Manager called before arrival to ask if a prepared dinner was needed or if reservations at the local French cuisine restaurant was preferable (ate an amazing meal down the road at the restaurant.) Upon return to the chalet the lounge was made up and the fireplace prepared for use. Bed was comfortable and the pillows were divine. Beautiful views, local wildlife, peace and quiet, and absolutely everything alpine Australia has to offer. I definitely plan on returning in Winter season.

Great location

Great location, good value room, ideal for couple of nights with friends who don't mind sharing, or ideal for a family. Small room but with good bathroom and good sized bunk room. Didn't have dinner but included breakfast was good. Very good large cosy communal area with nice fire and large sofas.

Pros: Peaceful, great location at the price, friendly service, nice winter food, star gazing
Cons: Children found it in a hard way that hot water is not working sometimes
Location: Away from it all, Outstanding
Facilities: Above average; Value: Great deal, Bargain; Service: Remarkable, Outstanding; Cleanliness: Immaculate; overall very happy with the place and went twice in ski season, its home away from home. rooms cater for 6 so its easy to bring some friends.
