Good & Bad

Posted Nov 12, 2016
Pros: Pool, sauna, fireplace, outdoor activity
Cons: Mold, poor condition of hotel
First the good. We stayed in the Garden of Eden Apple room. The room was very spacious with a hot tub, private indoor pool/grotto area with a sauna & fireplace. There were 2 tvs with a mini fridge in the room as well. The private pool had warm water the entire time which was surrounded by mirrors. It was a very nice feature of the room. There are no windows in this room so it is very private & secluded from the main lobby of the hotel. The property was big & offered many activities. We enjoyed the the large outdoor firepit for couples to sit around & relax. Overall the layout of the hotel & bedrooms is fantastic. Now for the bad: To start, the room had mold. We found it in the bathroom, part of the bedroom & on the door by the hot tub. When you enter the room, the initial smell of it is overbearing & stayed on our clothes until we got home. The issue should really be addressed immediately. The hot tub smelled like a fishtank. It also caused the kitchen/dining area to smell very poorly for a few hours. The room was outdated & needed a lot of maintenance repairs. If they renovate & clean up some of these rooms it would be an excellent place to stay. Not too far away was the casino & about 15 minutes to the Mt Pocono state park which was nice to hike in. Also bring your own logs for the fireplace. You can get 6 in Lowes for $15. The hotel charges $13 for 2 in the gift shop. There is also no microwave & i would suggest eating off site. The hotel prices were way too high.

While we're happy you enjoyed parts of the resort, we're disappointed to read there were inconveniences you dealt with. We're going to bring these issues up with the Resort Manager to review with our teams so we can resolve these issues immediately.

Decent Getaway.

Posted Nov 7, 2016
Pros: Quiet and nice views.
Cons: Cleanliness of the suites/rooms.
The resort needs a desperate upgrade and remodel. If you can stomach not "so clean" suites/rooms then this resort is for you.

While we're happy you enjoyed some aspects of your stay, we're disappointed you felt the suite you stayed in was dirty. We clean the suites from top to bottom before every new guest checks in to ensure the suites are fit for use for our guests- we understand how important it is to feel comfortable in your suite and hope we'll see you back in the future.

Friendly staff, but outdated

Posted Oct 30, 2016
Location: Grab one of the menu/activity guides foutdoor at a lot of the locations near by, and just find your suggestions in there. Visit Mountain View Winery!
The staff are friendly, but the resort is outdated and could use some sprucing up. We did not do the all inclusive option during this visit so we found dead some really nice places to eat around the local area.

We got an upgrade!

Posted Oct 20, 2016 on Hotels
We booked a jacuzzi suite through hotels.com. Upon arrival, the girl at the front desk asked if I wanted to upgrade to a pool room which I quickly agreed to doing. We ended up staying in the Garden of Eden suite and it was absolutely amazing! A heart shaped jacuzzi in the living room, a beautiful fireplace in the bedroom. Off of our bedroom was a beautiful indoor, private pool which was so much bigger than I expected and sparkling clean! Behind the pool was our own personal sauna that was absolutely amazing. The staff here were polite and accommodating in every way, they went above and beyond to make us comfortable. There were tons of activities to participate in, from fishing at the on site lake, to shooting bows, riding bicycles through the beautiful grounds and playing miniature golf. A nightclub is also on site, which was a blast with special shows going on every night. I will absolutely return and believe me, the Garden of Eden suites are worth it! With the pool and sauna, there's no reason to leave the room!

Loved it. Will go back and definitely recommend. Property is older with some wear and tear but overall very clean and service was excellent. Food and entertainment was great too. As long as you go ready to have fun and not nit pick every detail, you will have a blast.

Romantic get away

Posted Oct 18, 2016 on Hotels
Our room was Villa which was nice because you did not feel like you're in a hotel. Fireplace was great and heart-shaped tub was fun. Private porch to sit on and watch the sun rise and set, have a drink and a snack with lovely views of a small wooded lake. Very peaceful. Definitely dated and a little tired but staff was great! Food and service very good in the dining room as well. Took the advice of other guests and brought logs, ice bucket and glasses, snacks and wine and fun things for the tub! Able to park right behind Villa so getting the gear into the room was very easy.

We're happy you enjoyed the Lakeside Villa, one of our most popular suites! Nothing beats watching sunrise and sunset from your private porch!
