Lovely tower suite

Posted Nov 19, 2016
Would have liked more activities but the champagne tower suite was amazing. I didn't care to leave the room. Get the seduction package too!

Some guests find they would rather just stay in their suites because the suites are so amazing and romantic! Nothing beats having your own private pool and whirlpool. We hope you'll come back for even more romantic fun!

It's an old charming hotel

Posted Nov 14, 2016
It's a nice old hotel, the decor is right out of the 70s but it has charm. If you embrace it for what it is you will have a good time. I think it could be so much more. There was one sweet little server named Dovana who really took care of us and really made us feel welcome. She had excellent customer service and serving skills and she always had a smile on her face. Unfortunately, most of the rest of the staff seemed to be going through the motions and made us feel like they couldn't have cared less about us and our stay. The food was really good, the entertainment was good and the accommodations while dated and maybe even a little cheesy were great and fun! Our room was relatively clean but the previous guests had left thier underware behind in the closet, and out private pool was filled with candle wax (large chunks) as well. It was obvious the pool had not been cleaned at all between guests. Anyone who had pulled the cover back on the pool would have seen all of the wax floating in it. There was also hair in the bottom of the pool. The room itself was very clean but the pool was kind of gross. Most of the staff was relatively professional but no one was going out of thier way to even so much as smile. No one asked how our stay was going or if there was anything they could do to improve it. It was clear that no one other than Dovana was interested in going out of thier way for us. Staff didn't even acknowledge you in the hallways.

Good & Bad

Posted Nov 12, 2016
Pros: Pool, sauna, fireplace, outdoor activity
Cons: Mold, poor condition of hotel
First the good. We stayed in the Garden of Eden Apple room. The room was very spacious with a hot tub, private indoor pool/grotto area with a sauna & fireplace. There were 2 tvs with a mini fridge in the room as well. The private pool had warm water the entire time which was surrounded by mirrors. It was a very nice feature of the room. There are no windows in this room so it is very private & secluded from the main lobby of the hotel. The property was big & offered many activities. We enjoyed the the large outdoor firepit for couples to sit around & relax. Overall the layout of the hotel & bedrooms is fantastic. Now for the bad: To start, the room had mold. We found it in the bathroom, part of the bedroom & on the door by the hot tub. When you enter the room, the initial smell of it is overbearing & stayed on our clothes until we got home. The issue should really be addressed immediately. The hot tub smelled like a fishtank. It also caused the kitchen/dining area to smell very poorly for a few hours. The room was outdated & needed a lot of maintenance repairs. If they renovate & clean up some of these rooms it would be an excellent place to stay. Not too far away was the casino & about 15 minutes to the Mt Pocono state park which was nice to hike in. Also bring your own logs for the fireplace. You can get 6 in Lowes for $15. The hotel charges $13 for 2 in the gift shop. There is also no microwave & i would suggest eating off site. The hotel prices were way too high.

Decent Getaway.

Posted Nov 7, 2016
Pros: Quiet and nice views.
Cons: Cleanliness of the suites/rooms.
The resort needs a desperate upgrade and remodel. If you can stomach not "so clean" suites/rooms then this resort is for you.

While we're happy you enjoyed some aspects of your stay, we're disappointed you felt the suite you stayed in was dirty. We clean the suites from top to bottom before every new guest checks in to ensure the suites are fit for use for our guests- we understand how important it is to feel comfortable in your suite and hope we'll see you back in the future.

Friendly staff, but outdated

Posted Oct 30, 2016
Location: Grab one of the menu/activity guides foutdoor at a lot of the locations near by, and just find your suggestions in there. Visit Mountain View Winery!
The staff are friendly, but the resort is outdated and could use some sprucing up. We did not do the all inclusive option during this visit so we found dead some really nice places to eat around the local area.

Not worth for the price

Posted Oct 16, 2016
Location: Did not explore much in just one night. Mount Airy casino was near by.
We just stayed one night. The room was clean but was smelling. One I turned the jacuzzi on the water was smelling very bad. Not even a single water bottle in the room. You have to carry everything with you or call room service. Dinner buffet was not so great. Other than that the room was decorated with lot of mirrors and lights. Starlight was a great option over jacuzzi. Location was pretty calm and good to take photos.

Thank you for your feedback. We haven't had complaints about the smell of the water before, so this is disappointing. We'll look into the suite you stayed in to determine what may have been cause and apologize about any inconveniences you dealt with.

Okay Place. Food awful. I won't go back.

Posted Oct 10, 2016
We have been to the other 2 resorts a few years back and also to the Paradise Stream before. It is very disappointing that they do not have breakfast in bed. Anyways, the food is not very good. Friday night was a buffet, and I was sick all night. Saturday night was sit down, it was my 60th birthday. We ordered steak and lobster, big mistake. The lobster and steak over cooked. The only good thing was the salad bar. The mornings they did have made to order omelets which were good. The place needs work. I don't think it has been painted or updated in many many years. Geese poop all over the grounds. Watch your step. Right outside our path to the room. Bring your own liquor, drinks pricey. I guess you make your own good time, and it is good that you don't have to leave the grounds to have a relaxing time.
