This place has potential, but was a let down

I came to the hotel to getaway with my wife for a weekend. We just got married and only had time for a quick retreat. It was a cold weekend, and we really didn't have any want to leave the room much. We looked forward to the pool and jacuzzi tub in the room and to room service.
When we got there, they forgot to leave chocolate in our room (for newlyweds). There was also a light that was broken in our room that they couldn't fix because they didn't have the right bulb in stock. We were surprised that they had no option for breakfast in bed (they used to do this a few years ago). And the food they served was sickening. There wasn't much variety, it wasn't prepared well, and the portions for off. For example, I had a pasta dish with shrimp in it. It came out as a gigantic plate of pasta drenched in cheese with - I'm not joking - three medium sized shrimp.
The entertainment was also pretty lame. We didn't even bother to see any of the shows, but we did attend a happy hour where the 'CXO' and a DJ was trying to get people up and moving. If it weren't for a copious amount of alcohol, we wouldn't have stayed for that either.
Bottom line is that you could rent your own private cabin in the Poconos with a hot tub and go out for fine dining every night for a fraction of the cost. It's really not worth the money.

While we're glad you liked the room, we're sorry you rated the entertainment as a "let down" despite not going to see any of the shows. We'll share your feedback with the manager.
