DECENT PLACE TO STAY

Pros: quiet & clean
Location: very small town with a couple restaurants
very convenient to Doane College where my daughter had a soccer game and priced way below the rooms in Lincoln that weekend due to the Nebraska football game just needed a place to sleep and seemed clean beds were comfortable. The only thing that caught me by surprise was they charged me $20 for early ck in. Their check in was 2pm and we arrived at 9am after driving 8 1/2 hours and needing to sleep before my daughters game at 1pm and told there were still people occupying all the rooms but then they could do a room for $20 early ck in ? The $20 wasn't as much of an issue as the story - just tell me there is a fee for early check in - any way I paid it and dropped to sleep as soon as I got to the room. Hotel was quiet enough as well being at the far end of a small town.

Poor management, unprofessional

Was told it would be $10 for a rollaway when booking from the website, then arrive and was told it would be $45 for a rollaway. Manager was checking in customers with no shirt on

Worst stay ever

We had the pleasure of listening to someone in the parking lot blow off fire works until a guest asked them to stop.

Super 8 at Crete

The hotel was a bit of a drive from I-80 but once there the service, room cleanliness and room size was excellent

Nice Hotel close to the college.

Pros: That it was clean and close to the college.
Location: The hotel was close to restaurants and the college.
It was clean and had good air conditioning so the room was nice and cool.

Horrible customer service by the manager.

Horrible customer service by the manager. Promised a roll away bed but when we checked in wanted to charge us 45$. When we were leaving the next day the manager was checking someone in without a shirt on! We were there for a softball tournament. Never again would I stay there.

No refund trying to cancel 1 hour after booking

Made reservation for our anniversary. My mother inlaw showed up to watch the kids but passed out before we left. I call the hotel and was told this had to go through Expedia. Called Expedia amd was told theu would try to work it out with the hotel. I was called back and told they couldn't get ahold of the hotel and had to file a claim on it and i would be notified within 3 hours. I did not here till 3 days later that the hotel refused the refund and I was obviously a no show for the room.

Close to University

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a medical emergency and the staff went out of their way to help and make me comfortable. Very caring.

Needs help

Pros: There are two hotels in Crete, Nebraska and this is the better of the two.
Cons: I think management could use some customer service training and I think the owners could better supply the hotel with basic needs.
Location: It is very close to Doan University.
Checked in and had two rooms reserved(after cancelling one room a week prior) and they insisted I had 3 rooms reserved. I then had a medical emergency and was taken by ambulance to the hospital from the front desk where I was still signing into the hotel. My daughter who was the occupant of the second room returned that night from the hospital and took a shower only to find No towels and 4 wash cloths. She requested 2 towels and they insisted she had towels, which she didn't. The next morning she asked the maid if she could have 2 towels which the maid gave her. My daughter came to visit me in my room and my husband gave her 2 more towels as we had 4 because my husband had asked the maid for 2 towels to give to my daughter but we had no washcloths. My daughter takes at least 2 showers a day. sometimes more and her husband was occupying the room as well. The manager saw her with our 2 towels and asked how many towels she had now and she told him 4. She told him to come search her room if he didn't believe her and he did!! Our room had 4 towels and no washcloths. The management seem to be new at their jobs and at times were friendly and at times they were just plain rude. Our grandson goes to college there and we are from California so we don't visit often but this time there were several school functions that we were there to attend, that and the fact of my sudden illness and then to be questioned on our honesty and their unprofessional handling was very disturbing.
