"Our stay at Lazy Pines during our Thanksgiving holiday get away was excellent despite the instant winter that greeted us on our first night. We were already settled in when the snow and wind came on strong but we had started a fire in the wonderful fireplace that took the chill off and made the place warm and cozy. While we did not get to enjoy the lake, pontoon or much of the outside, being able to relax and venture out with our pups was the best. This was our younger pup’s first snow! The views are gret with an entire wall of windows. The cabin is so well equipped with almost everything you could want in the way of cooking. Super comfortable bed, high end towels and linens completed the experience. The attention to small details makes a big difference. Things like a bathroom vanity and sink that was installed at a more comfortable height. A very generous supply of dry split firewood and one of the best working fireplaces that I have ever encountered. It was easy to create the draft and easily start a fire which burned in a nice slow manner while still producing the entrancing flames. Communication with the owners, Matt and Renae was easy and our questions ahead of arriving were answered swiftly. Renae had the lights on for us which made for a nice welcome. This is a great place for a cold weather getaway and I imagine a fantastic summer place as well with the available pontoon. Maybe they should include snowmobiles in the winter? We would stay again in a heartbeat."

"We celebrated Thanksgiving and family Christmas at Happy Landing. It was perfect for gathering, beautifully decorated for the holidays, all the amenities made it easy and fun for all ages, and the welcoming extra touches were an unexpected delight. This cabin is beautiful and has everything you need to enjoy quality family time. It’s top notch and I would highly recommend it."

"We really loved the kitchen area with the family room and dining area and plus the bonus room where we could hang out and sit and view the lake. There were 12 of us, ladies, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The view was amazing. there were lots of games in the basement, but we didn’t use those because we didn’t have any kids with us but how nice to have that if you were to rent this place with kids. There were lots of little nice touches that we appreciated like the hot cocoa and s’mores set up even though we didn’t use it. It was a great idea some of which we think we will use for ourselves at home and at our cabins. We really love the place. Do I have any photos?"

"Kitchen had a lot of amenities - spices, tea, sugar, coffee, cleaning supplies which was very helpful. Cabin was very comfortable and the wood stove was very helpful during very cool evenings as the heating system was not very warm.The sitting was comfortable for evening.The screened in porch was very restful and a great place to read with a view.The dock was fun for spouse to fish off."
