Room was very spacious and so quiet I didn't hear any noise at all. The bed was comfortable and the bar was nice area to sit and relax.

Nice hotel in easy walking distance of East Croydon station. Very friendly receptionist checked me in. Lovely comfortable bed. Really nice that there was a fridge in the room.

The hotel was freezing cold. Couldn’t sit in the bar as it was so cold. I asked for a portable heater 3 times but was told that there wasn’t any available. I was also unable to shower as it pointed straight down to the drain so couldn’t stand underneath When I asked why there wasn’t any SOOO in the room I was told they were out of stock.

The hotel its self was lovley. The women who checked us in i found very rude! Other staff were friendly and nice. My room was clean apart from blood on the sheet of the single bed and the coffee cup not been clean.. when i went to reception to let them no there was no one about. Same for check out no one was about.

Fantastic hotel
It’s the third time we have stayed at the hotel every thing about the hotel is fantastic bar the breakfast!! It’s never been hot … but that will not stop us from staying there we may not have breakfast due to there being a Co-op being a short distance up the road. I must say the staff on the front desk were brilliant they are a credit to you well done.

While the facility was clean and staff was friendly, the heating in the room was not working we reported this and was given a very small blow heating which was inadequate there our sleepnqas cold and uncomfortable

Convenient chain in Croydon
Great chain hotel, very convenient for Croydon. East Croydon is within easy reach, allowing easy travel into London. Solid breakfast, if included in your booking - if not then there are plenty of good options nearby. My only complaints were that the room (4th floor) was a bit dark - there are no lights in the main part of the room. And also BBC1 had no sound on the TV - the only channel with this problem, but a bit strange. Beyond this, highly recommended.

Not a good stay at all
Booked and paid via Hotels.com, employee on reception tried saying I had to pay there also, took 15 mins to realise he was looking at another booking once the manager came across. Was seated for food, waited 30mins, no-one took an order, had to go and ask if I could order. Fish and chips was like a children's meal for nearly £18.00. Shower in room (921) was cold and poor pressure. Breakfast, went up to the buffet, nearly everything gone, not keeping it up at all (1nr egg, 1nr spoonful of beans, no sausages, 3nr rashers of bacon, a few mushrooms and 1nr hash brown is what was left). Spent over £150.00 for a VERY sub-standard night.

House keeping was terrible, and the house keeping staff are very rude! Asked for my room to be cleaned. Came back to the room and it was still dirty. The garbage was still there they did not provide clean utensils or silverware

The hotel was clean and the rooms were a decent size. The rooms were very clean and the beds really comfortable. Breakfast should be inclusive apart from that lovely hotel

Prices have really shot up in last 2 years !
Placed in a connecting room which I really didn't want, my neighbour, although a solo traveler too, spent most of the night on her phone talking very loudly. Room was cold to begin with and mode on unit would not switch to heat. Bathroom skirting very old and coming away from wall but overall the room was clean and quiet eventually. Was very surprised to discover that breakfast was not included however. For £99 I would have expected it. The rates have really shot up in the last two years and despite the property changing name, none of the rooms have been updated from what I can see.
