Beautiful, quiet, wanted more snacks

Loved everything about our stay. Wish there were a few more snack options. Came late after Thanksgiving Day and needed exact change to use the few snack machine options that were there. Staff friendly, efficient and explained that breakfast didn't come with my hotel stay. Unexpectedly quiet and one of the cleanest places I have stayed in the last year. Definitely coming back.

Could of been better!

Just needs some new TLC! Its a great location. Awesome staff. But again rooms needs some updating and the beds suck. In not here to complain just being honest! Lil love will go along way!

One night stay.

The room was nice and clean. We went to the restaurant the next morning fie breakfast . Service was so slow. Food was adequate but over priced. I would go elsewhere for breakfast . Pool is big.

I had one of the worst experience. The hotel need major remodeling and clean-up!

Lovely place to launch a visit..

Pros: Since I had many suburban contacts as well as urban destination, the hotel and its access to the Interstates was a big draw.
Cons: I have been a guest several times in the past 10 to 15 years and each visit was more satisfying than the one before.
Location: Already mentioned the convenience of Interstate access, even tho' a long way from downtown. The traffic is not your fault.
In town for visiting a friend and touring the Chicago Botanical Garden and the Art Institute. A long way from both attractions but close to the friend's place. My birthday (74 years young) was a few days earlier and when I checked in the girl at the front desk assured me I would be pleasantly surprised at my room. When I entered my 5th floor room with a view, there was a massive floral bouquet from the Twisted Stem, sitting on my room table. The staff had arranged to have it placed due to contacts with my daughter-in-law, a former resident of Crystal Lake. My friend joined me for dinner at the hotel restaurant, an excellent meal, and an auspicious start to our visit. We also had breakfast at the hotel the next morning, a lovely, quiet meal. Delicious also. I must say we were here mid-week and almost had the facilities to ourselves. I had stayed and dined at this hotel a few time previous, years apart, and always were pleased with the hotel and its services. The staff always made out stays memorable.

Convenient location, great staff

Cons: While functional, the bathrooms could use a little updating.
First time to stay at this Holiday Inn, which is convenient to family. We enjoyed our stay and will return.

Hotel for a get away

First night there we had to move rooms and then we got a room with a toilet ready to come of the floor and we spent a small fortune at your bar and the bartender was watching the Internet
