Not so GreatPosted Aug 20, 2015
Pros: The renovated bathroom and fast Internet. The complimentary breakfast was also pretty good, for a bargain hotel.
Cons: Replace the bedding, especially the pillows!
Although the room was small, the renovated bathroom and the fast Internet were nice. However, the bed was way too soft and the pillows were ridiculously uncomfortable. I still have a stiff neck (two days later).

Great location, Good ValuePosted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: The location is great - close to all restaurants in LaVale. There is even a mountain stream running behind the hotel.
Location: We went to the Cumberland Theater and watched the musical comedy, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. It was fantastic!
Our unit was recently updated with new carpet, new bathroom fixtures and a newly tiled bath. It was comfortable, quiet, and a good value for the money.

Not happy.Posted May 25, 2015 on Hotels
Keeping in mind that this is an older hotel, it wasn't the appearance that was disheartening, it was the overall attention and service that was lacking. I was there 3 nights, 4 days. My bed not made once..blanket pulled up but sheets stuffed down below, was not allowed to have extra pillows and when we asked for towels, we were questioned to the 3rd degree. No ice..machine broken. The vending machine took 3 of my dollars. Cigarette smoke odor was terrible. We were in non smoking.

Del Fest WeekendPosted May 25, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed during Memorial Day weekend to attend DelFest. The hotel was booked. All the ice machines were broken and we were told the repairman did not show up.No ice was offered. The free breakfast food was not very fresh. The apples and oranges ran out as well as the yogurt. The muffins were stale.

Very basic, overpriced hotelPosted Apr 28, 2015 on Hotels
Very Basic. Room and hotel were clean. However, they couldn't even round up a fitted sheet for the bed. There were also no toiletries at all in the room. the continental breakfast was very simple and sparse. It's not bad for a very basic hotel stay. But I feel the hotel is overpriced for such a simple stripped-down facility.

Over Night StayPosted Apr 26, 2015
Pros: The bed felt like a cloud!
Cons: Carpet replacement in rooms.
Location: Location was great to the event we were attending.
Staff was friendly and helpful. We requested non-smoking, bu the room smelled of smoke, when brought to the staff"s attention, we were immediately relocated to another spacious, clean, fresh smelling room.

No-frills stay in Cumberland areaPosted Apr 21, 2015
Afternoon desk staff was lovely; morning staff not so friendly. They do serve breakfast and they do have free wi-fi, which worked well. Recommended for a no-frills budget stay in the area.
