Beautiful hotel, excellent location, very friendly

Posted Aug 17, 2016
Cons: Internet connection can definitely be improved (was really slow and unstable).
Felt like half way between a hotel and a family BB. We loved it and the staff were really nice and took care of all our requests. We walked from there down to the ferry to the other side of Lake Windermere and did beautiful hikes and in the evening we enjoyed what the town has to offer. Note that it is located in "Bowness on Windermere" (the listings can be a bit misleading).

Charming and Tasteful

Posted Aug 2, 2016
Pros: The full English breakfast with delightful, polite waiters. The food was a joy!! And loved the subtle smell of roses in the lobby.
Cons: There was bare wood in the "penthouse" and looked a little unfinished and ignored compared to the rest of the lovely hotel.
Location: Crowded town! The Lake District is becoming a victim of its own beauty. And beautiful it is!!!! I cannot imagine any place on Earth more beautiful!!
This facility was charming and quite lovely. The temperature was perfect but the weather was cool. Being in the "penthouse", which was a converted attic, may get uncomfortable on a hot day. Tall folks, beware! Though very spacious, the attic status makes one with height have to bend much of the time.

Great hotel close to centre

Lovely hotel , great breakfast, fabulous shower only downside was the hill the hotel was on. It was fine for me and my friend but was too much for my elderly mum . It's not far from centre just very steep

Very good stay at this friendly and beautiful B&B

Posted May 8, 2016 on Hotels
Very good place, very friendly, breakfast is good. There is a garden as well. Very pleasant stay, just outside the city centre. Only downside: the wifi system doesn't really work (it does work better in the common areas). However there is a computer available at all times on ground floor. Hosts were very helpful and nice. Worth coming back.

支払に気を付けてください

Posted Jun 16, 2015

Thank you, but I think you may have us confused, we have never charged for parking, and I do not remember ever giving a bill at breakfast - ??

Cozy Hotel

Posted Apr 15, 2015 on Hotels
The Fairfiel locate at the hillside with a walking distance, approximate 5 mins, to Bowness town centre. The hotel is small but quiet and the breakfast is delicious. The only draw back is the staircase which is too narrow to handle large luggage.

Thank you, we are pleased to have such a wonderful old historic house even though it means the property was not built for large suitacases.

Ideal

Had a lovely stay at Fairfield. We were given a free upgrade to room with four-poster bed and wet room. Room was quite small but very clean and perfectly adequate for our needs. Very close to shops, restaurants, etc., although short walk up steep hill to hotel wouldn't suit everyone. Staff very attentive and friendly. Breakfast excellent.

Fairfield 3 day Mini Break

Posted Dec 2, 2014 on Hotels
Excellent comfortable accommodation with very friendly staff and lots of little touches to ensure everything at hand that you could possibly need. Breakfast of local produce very palatable and plentiful. Only five minutes walk from the centre of Bowness but in a tranquil setting on the edge of the hills above Bowness. One of the best B&B's we have stayed in and good value. Thoroughly recommended.
